Dual winner for Ben Pauling acquitted himself well enough in two starts for this yard over hurdles. Now goes over fences for the first time and has had a wind-op so causes for optimism now for top connections.
Won first two chase starts at Plumpton and Fontwell although both were small field, weak looking contests. Struggled next at Sandown in a much hotter race but this probably somewhere in between. Yard form a concern.
Consistent hurdler made a promising start over fences last time as he kept on for third of 10 at Sandown and jumped fluently given it was his first chase. Raised 3lb for that but surely more to come so merits respect here.
Former point-to-pointer (two starts) started with third and fourth at Southwell in ordinary contests before finishing tailed off at Uttoxeter behind a top prospect last time out. Handicap mark appears high enough for what he's achieved.

Dentley De Mee (6/4), Boreham Bill (6/4), Vivas (7/2), Midnight Maestro (4/1), Majestic Touch (6/1), Huntsman Son (7/1), All Currencies (8/1), Treshnish (10/1), Shady Oaks (16/1)
A tricky little contest this but the vote goes to Nick Williams DENTLEY DE MEE who made a pleasing start over fences when finishing third at Sandown and with the benefit of that experience under his belt he has strong claims here. Huntsman Son was no match for Arkle second favourite Kalashnikov on chase debut but nevertheless ran a sound race and he is most feared of the rivals. Boreham Bill is the most appealing of the three newcomers to fences and could make his presence felt if his jumping holds up.
