20/1

Won his first chase since winning back in January 2015 when landing a 2m2f handicap at Galway last month. Not getting any younger and may find this a tough ask.

Form: 638314

7/2

Got off the mark at the seventh time of asking for connections on his fourth hurdle start , winning a Wexford handicap over 2m½f last month. Worth noting in the betting.

Form: 40-4431

A Place Apart¹³

6/1

Downpatrick maiden hurdle winner over 2m2½f last month and since notched a novice win over fences at Kempton before disappointing at Punchestown earlier this month when dropped in trip. Placed over C&D previously and not easily discounted here.

Form: B02114

Churchtown Glen¹²

Age: 5| Weight: 11-3| J: Brian Hayes| T: M Winters| OR: 104

16/1

Got off the mark for connections at the seventh time of asking when landing a Wexford maiden hurdle last month over 2m4f before a frustrating effort when dropped in trip at Cork this month. A further drop in trip not sure to suit.

Form: 7-D5710

Light Of My Life^h⁴⁷

Age: 5| Weight: 11-3| J: S J Gray⁽³⁾| T: E J O'Grady| OR: 104| BF| D

14/1

Won over this trip last month in a Roscommon maiden hurdle getting off the mark for connections at the eighth attempt on his fourth hurdle start. Beaten favourite over C&D last month on good ground but enters calculations once again here.

Form: 48S214

Commandant¹

Age: 5| Weight: 11-2| J: S A Shortall| T: J P O'Brien| OR: 103| BF| D

13/8

Made a winning handicap debut for this yard when scoring by 4L in a Thurles handicap hurdle over this trip on good-to-firm ground a week ago. **Unseated three-out, still travelling well in midfield when hampered by faller at Thurles, Thursday.

Form: F80-P1U

Guido Reni^t¹⁴

Age: 4| Weight: 11-1| J: Robbie Colgan| T: K Thornton| OR: 105| D

5/1

One win in 19 starts so far, but has been in decent form recently with a couple of solid efforts recently including at Cheltenham's November finishing fourth of 20 beaten 3L on good ground. Liable to find a couple of stronger sorts lurking.

Form: 872444

Killacolla¹²

Age: 4| Weight: 11-0| J: C J Orr⁽⁷⁾| T: A Leahy| OR: 104

10/1

Improved on a number of dismal efforts to finish third of seven in a Tipperary bumper last month before more encouragement at Cork earlier this month when fourth of 20. Will need to improve once again.

Form: 25-7434

Forecasts

Commandant (13/8), Cairnhill (7/2), Guido Reni (5/1), A Place Apart (6/1), Killacolla (10/1), Light Of My Life (14/1), Churchtown Glen (16/1), Leap Dearg (20/1)

The unseating of jockey Rachael Blackmore on COMMANDANT was no fault of either party, still travelling well three out when hampered by a faller at Thurles on Thursday. The five-year-old can land the spoils here if turning out quickly once more. The Liz Doyle-trained Cairnhill who got off the mark at the seventh time of asking at Wexford last month and the J P McManus-owned Light Of My Life are capable of hitting the frame.
