Dual chase winner last season but back to winning ways over hurdles at Southwell last time. Has plenty in hand, even with his penalty, if able to run to his chase mark over the smaller obstacles. Should again go well.
Finished the Flat season in fine form, with back-to-back wins over 2m2f on good to soft. Not so good back over hurdles at Kelso last time and will need a fair bit of improvement on that to figure, though longer trip a plus.

Second from 2lb lower in a Perth novices' handicap hurdle in April. Well held over fences here on his reappearance, and looks up against it for win purposes in this field.

Improved on a moderate debut run when returning to Hexham last time. Hard to fancy on that evidence, though step up in trip could help with some improvement.

Better effort in a Navan maiden hurdle (2m4f, good) last time, but needs a lot more improvement on that to go close here.

Verdict

Harry Whittington looks to have found a good opportunity for VINNIE LEWIS, who is a confident choice in a race where he really ought to be able to outclass this field. Bodacious Name, Craiganboy and Caerleon Kate are the three most likely to be battling for the minors.

  2. Bodacious Name
  3. Caerleon Kate
