Fair handicap chaser who scored back-to-back victories in June at Hexham off much lower marks (92; 98) but has struggled to hold his form since in this sphere. Ran poorly last time out and this mark looks to be one he struggles with now.
Given a rather demanding mark when sent into handicaps over hurdles failing to make much of an impression. Fell on his chasing debut here over 3m in a novice (little chance at the weights); now sent into handicaps over fences (back in trip).
Showed some fair form over hurdles without winning; made gradual progress over fences to score on his 3rd start in that sphere at Ludlow (didn't look suited by the course). Shaped well until falling last time (trip looked too testing); player.
Most of his chasing experience was gained in Ireland but he remains a maiden over fences (0-15). Shaped well enough on his debut for this yard (led; jumped well) but reverted to type last time back down in trip (2m); dropped 4lb from his last run.
Has been placed here on three occasions (hurdles); touch inconsistent although he's drifted back to a mark 1lb above his last winning one. Struggles to stay 3m and this trip likely to suit him better; turned in one of his better efforts last time.
Lightly-raced sort who as quickly switched to fences last time showing an aptitude for this game in a better race than this (0-120); dropped 2lb. Jumped well over 3m until lack of fitness told and down in class/back in trip now; of interest.
Winning hurdler off a 2lb higher mark he made his chasing debut last time at Carlisle (race too competitive) but showed some aptitude for fences. Will be more at home given this sort of test/company and can't be ruled out on that basis.
Fair form over hurdles but yet to win in that sphere (0-6) and failed to impress went sent to Hexham for his chasing debut (behind Cash To Ash). May do better in time but hard to fancy on the basis of his first outing over fences.

Forecasts
Pookie Pekan (11/4), Cash To Ash (11/4), Whin Park (7/2), Le Drapeau (6/1), Bocasien Desbois (6/1), Dallas Cowboy (11/1), Quick Brew (12/1), Outnumbered (14/1), Ever So Much (33/1)
A fairly run-of-the-mill handicap chase although one or two of the runners have shown some decent form and could improve. Chief amongst those would be Whin Park who may just have found the stamina test too much at Chepstow last time when falling at the last having won at Ludlow the time before. CASH TO ASH offers a little more in price though having shown up well last time his chasing debut and this lightly-raced sort looks to have more progress left in him. Bocasien Desbois looks to have his chasing career back on track after a wind op and he along with Pookie Pekan are two others who can take a hand in this.
- Cash To Ash
- Whin Park
- Bocasien Desbois
