Sedgefield Christmas Jumper Raceday Seventh December Handicap Chase

Off time: 12:20 | Winning time: 4m 16.50s

Presenting Streak¹⁸

Age: 9| Weight: 11-12| J: Sean Quinlan| T: P Winks| OR: 97

10/1

Well beaten on return to fences at Warwick (2m4f, good) earlier this month. Drop in grade in his favour and shorter distance no inconvenience.

Form: P77F70

Roxyfet¹⁷

Age: 8| Weight: 11-8| J: Alain Cawley| T: Micky Hammond| OR: 93| CD

5/1

Struggled in three runs since returning from a break. Handicap mark is falling as a result and not written off completely off a mark 5lb lower than when winning at Market Rasen (2m1f, soft) in March.

Form: 336-656

Hope For Glory^t⁵⁶⁰

Age: 9| Weight: 10-10| J: Dale Irving⁽³⁾| T: M A Barnes| OR: 81| CD

12/1

Broke his maiden when winning over an extended 2m on good ground here in May last year. Absent since and worth a check in the market on his return.

7/1

15 race maiden but in a decent effort in finishing 22L second over an extended 2m3f on good ground here last time out. Interesting to see how he fares.

Form: 87-7642

Bertielicious^h⁹⁶²

Age: 10| Weight: 10-0| J: S Mulqueen⁽³⁾| T: J C Haynes| OR: 62

100/1

Good effort in finishing 6L second over an extended 2m on soft ground here in April 2016. Unraced since and probably best watched on his return.

Forecasts

Show's Over (10/11), Roxyfet (5/1), Early Boy (7/1), Yourholidayisover (9/1), Presenting Streak (10/1), Hope For Glory (12/1), Bertielicious (100/1)

SHOW'S OVER represents a good yard and having placed twice since joining them he is taken to record his first victory for the yard in this opening handicap chase. The selection has the trip and forecast underfoot conditions in his favour and can see off Early Boy who ran a decent race here last time out while third place can go to Yourholidayisover who should have improved for his most recent start.
