2/1
Milan gelding who cost €65,000 as a three-year-old. Some winning form in his pedigree and plenty to like about Leopardstown bumper third behind Blackbow in December. Noted on return / hurdles bow in first-time tongue-tie.
2
Horse silk
33/1
Dual point-to-point winner, ran well in novice hunters' chase at Tipperary (2m7f, yielding to soft) in May on rules bow. Off since and drop to this trip not a guaranteed positive on hurdles bow.
3
Horse silk
Calicojackt1279
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-12| J: Sean Flanagan| T: N Meade
10/1
Had his training problems but produced two solid bumper displays at the end of last year (twice second) on soft-ish going. Off since February ahead of this first jumping test and needs a close look in the betting.

Enquire37
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-12| J: Danny Mullins| T: A Mullins
66/1
Gelding by Ask out of a Flemensfirth mare. Outpaced late on during belated debut at Tramore (2m, good) last month and must improve for that run.
Son of Double Eclipse purchased for €3,000 as a yearling. Well fending off in two maiden hurdles up north over longer trips in August and no luck since in point-to-points. Others preferred.

Age: 5|  Weight: 11-12| J: Donagh Meyler| T: K Thornton
100/1
Gelding by Mahler out of a Moscow Society mare. Beaten 36L on hurdles bow at Fairyhouse (2m4f, good) last time, hard to make a case for down in trip.

Invincible Cave272
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-12| J: D N Russell| T: G Elliott| D
6/4
Picked up for £210,000 by these connections, won a bumper at Navan this time last year before slightly disappointing Naas effort (fourth) in February. Point-to-point winner, should have bright future jumping and respected here.
8
Horse silk
25/1
Shantou gelding, cost €50,000 in 2013 and €100,000 in 2016. Half-brother to six-time Grade 1 winner (including Gold Cup) Kicking King. Plenty to find based on two bumper runs last term.
9
Horse silk
100/1
Definite Article gelding, 100/1 poke and beaten wide margins both starts in maiden hurdles at Tipperary and Wexford last month. May do better in handicaps down the line.
10
Horse silk
Ragin Cajun14
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-12| J: J M Moore| T: N Meade
40/1
Kalanisi gelding and a half-brother to the yards dual winner Darkest Flyer. Modest in both starts over timber so far, race-fit after recent Naas outing but has plenty to work on.
11
Horse silk
33/1
Placed in three point-to-points before winning at Largy in May, returns from summer absence for first start under rules and market check merited.
12
Horse silk
Tara Mill210
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-12| J: Keith Donoghue| T: S Crawley
100/1
Kalanisi gelding with modest record in four point-to-point starts. Best watched now embarking on rules career.
13
Horse silk
14/1
Remote second in maiden hurdle at Listowel over 2m4f in September, had excuses when beaten favourite at Sedgefield next time but recent Naas effort over 2m3f (good to yielding) leaves question to answer.
14
Horse silk
A Girl Like Me223
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-5| J: A E Lynch| T: A Lee
100/1
Daughter of Kalanisi out of a Kayf Tar mare related to Champion hurdler Katchit and current performers Brain Power and Kalashnikov. Underwhelming start in heavy-ground Tramore maiden hurdle in April, needs plenty more.
15
Horse silk
Lady Writer14
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-5| J: D G Hogan| T: D Hogan
40/1
Scored in a point-to-point in January but clear signs of temperament in that sphere at times. Unimpressive in maiden hurdles at Galway and Naas (over 2m3f) recently and others more easily trusted.
16
Horse silk
40/1
Showed some gradual improvement in three bumpers, though a bit disappointing at Clonmel last month on fourth start. Now tackles hurdles for the first time and market may be informative.
Kalanisi mare, makes first start for trainer in decent form just now (2-7) and worth paying some attention on debut.
18
Horse silk
7/1
Oscar mare, quickened away nicely to make winning start in point-to-points back in March. Has joined leading yard since and makes rules bow with Rachel Blackmore booked. Competitive.
19
Horse silk
28/1
Daughter of Mahler out of an Alderbrook mare. Closely related to Ms Parfois and Sutton Place. Stayed on for third at Ballinrobe on hurdles bow in August over this trip. Similar claims, though perhaps will want further in time.

Forecasts

Invincible Cave (6/4), Ballyneety (2/1), Sinoria (7/1), Calicojack (10/1), Thosedaysaregone (14/1), Myth Buster (25/1), Take A Punt (28/1), Buckie Cullen (33/1), Shanroe Al C (33/1), Latoyah Of North (40/1), Ragin Cajun (40/1), Lady Writer (40/1), Lee Valley Legacy (50/1), Feagreen Native (66/1), Enquire (66/1), Tara Mill (100/1), A Girl Like Me (100/1), Home Place (100/1), No Show Jones (100/1)

Verdict

It was a decent bumper that BALLYNEETY finished third in last December on his sole outing and Joseph O'Brien's charge looks a threat to all now on his return to action. Both trainer and jockey are in fine fettle and another winner could beckon for them here. Sinoria won her only point-to-point start in good style and is respected having since joined a top yard to embark on her rules career while Shanroe Al C is another new recruit to this sphere worth noting. Invincible Cave is bred to be a jumper and should mount a challenge under the champion jockey, with Take A Punt and Calicojack also worth monitoring.
  1. Ballyneety
  2. Invincible Cave
  3. Sinoria
