Lightly raced sort looks like chasing will be the making of him based on firstly his second to the smart Lil Rockerfeller and his subsequent C&D handicap win here where he bolted up by 18L. Sets the bar very high based on that even with the penalty.

Three-time hurdle winner tried his hand at chasing just once back in June where he was a shade disappointing fourth of five at Worcester as favourite. Recent return over hurdles should aid his fitness but step up needed here.

Quickly developed into a smart hurdler last season winning here and at Kempton in a valuable handicap. Ended the season in Grade One company which was a bridge too far but has the potential to be a smart chaser with few miles on the clock.

2015 Champion Bumper winner never quite hit those heights over hurdles having had a myriad of problems although he did win three of eight starts over timber. Belated switch to fences not always ideal but smart enough to merit respect.

Bought for £100,000 after winning lone point-to-point in April 2017 he won one of his four starts over hurdles last term as well as an AW bumper. Very much bred and bought for fences so no surprise if he shows improvement in this sphere.

Finished tamely on several occasions over similar trips last season before dropping to 2m and winning back-to-back races in deep ground. Makes chase debut now but others were better over hurdles and has trip and ground concerns.

Useful dual hurdles scorer yet to fire in two races over fences at Uttoxeter (fifth of eight) and Cheltenham (fourth of seven). Probably capable of more in the coming months but suspicion is that he prefers genuine soft ground.

Forecasts

Wenyerreadyfreddie (4/6), Moon Racer (5/1), Kildisart (7/1), Onefortheroadtom (11/1), Azzerti (12/1), Storm Home (16/1), Piton Pete (50/1)

Verdict

WENYERREADYFREDDIE could hardly have been more impressive when winning over C&D three weeks ago and based on that success he will be very hard to beat even with a 5lb penalty. Kildisart is one of four to make their chasing debut here and Ben Pauling's charge looks the sort to leave his hurdles form behind now over the larger obstacles. Moon Racer is also of interest and if he takes to fences first time he should be involved.
