Took a while to open his chase account but did so at the 4th attempt under an excellent ride over 4f further recently. Raised just 3lb for that win he may not get a similar scenario as last time here but should cope with the drop in trip.

Took an age to win a race often flattering only to deceive but appears to be a different model for this yard who have coaxed three wins out of him. Fairly highly tried last time (acquitted himself well) but may just find this mark beyond him.

A winner on his chase debut (after a first fence scare) at Warwick over 2m he blotted his copybook last time when unseating his rider at the first. Looks as though he'll be able to cope with this mark and still unexposed over fences.

Forecasts

Capeland (8/11), Peppay Le Pugh (5/2), Railroad Junkie (4/1)

Verdict

There doesn’t look to be much natural pace on in this race with all three runners having won races from hold up positions and one of them may have to change their normal tactics here. Railroad Junkie still lacks experience when judged against the other duo and that looks a negative for him. Peppay Le Pugh has shown all his best form in strongly run races and the lack of pace in this isn’t to his advantage. CAPELAND was the subject of an excellent Bryony Frost ride when winning over 2m4f here last time letting the pace-setting duo set the race up for her. That is unlikely a scenario that unfolds here but he still holds the most potential of the trio over fences.
