Thrown in here on his form of 2015/16, but reduced to just two runs since and well held in both. Can only watch at present.
2
Horse silk
Showem Silver28
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-12| J: Sean Quinlan| T: J Candlish| OR:  105
50/1
Former Noel Meade inmate, who has been badly out of sorts both form him and, on his last two runs, for this trainer, in 2018. Hard to fancy, despite receding mark.
3
Horse silk
Hard Stationt190
Age: 9|  Weight: 11-12| J: Harry Bannister| T: R Bandey| OR:  105| D
7/2
Dual hunter chase and point-to-point winner who was last seen finishing 6L second in a Newton Abbot hunter event (3m2f, good) in May. Has dropped 11lb for this handicap debut. Market check on his reappearance.

Ryalex10(ex 7)
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-10| J: S Mulqueen(3)| T: Miss Lucinda V Russell| OR:  96| D
2/1
Showed marked improvement when routing his field in a better race than this at Carlisle (2m4f, soft) last time. Has to back that up now, but if he can produce a similar effort then a 7lb penalty looks insufficient to prevent a successful follow up.

Love The Leader3(ex 7)
Age: 10|  Weight: 11-8| J: R T Dunne| T: J Farrelly| OR:  94| C| D
2/1
In tremendous form and was a very easy winner again on Monday at Hereford, despite the official margin. Needs to improve again with another 7lb penalty to shoulder, but has to be considered.
7
Horse silk
Ballycampt23
Age: 9|  Weight: 11-6| J: Harry Teal(7)| T: C T Pogson| OR:  99| D
15/2
24-race maiden under rules and, while he can be given a chance from this mark on some form, he has had plenty of chances and others make more appeal.

L'Es Fremantle14
Age: 7|  Weight: 10-0| J: Rachel McDonald(5)| T: M C Chapman| OR:  71| C
33/1
Sprang an 80-1 surprise when breaking his duck at the 56th attempt here over 2m5½f (good) last time. 10lb rise for that, but still 8lb 'wrong' and the odds have to be against a follow-up.

Forecasts

Ryalex (2/1), Love The Leader (2/1), Hard Station (7/2), Cougar's Gold (5/1), Ballycamp (15/2), Sands Cove (16/1), L'Es Fremantle (33/1), Showem Silver (50/1)

Verdict

Not many obvious chances here, with the in-form Love The Leader likely to top a number of short-lists, but the way that RYALEX dispatched his field at Carlisle last time, he will take some beating if able to produce anything of that ilk again. Granted, he does have stamina to prove, but good ground should help. L'Es Fremantle had his moment of fame last time, but it is doubtful that he can add to that win here. Of the others, Cougar's Gold is unexposed, so may be capable of a bit better.
  1. Ryalex
  2. Love The Leader
  3. Cougar's Gold
