Won her maiden here in January 2017 but that was over 7f and she failed to build on that up in trip. Well held in seven starts for this yard and others preferred.

Solid and consistent in a number of starts here since September including a win over C&D last month off a 14lb lower mark. Life more difficult under a penalty but very much a leading player.

C&D winner but losing run now stands at 12. Out of form in the last year and plenty more needed in this group.

8/1
Course winner who has hit the frame over C&D. The Zebedee gelding now races 18lb below last winning mark and is hard to place any faith in current run of form.

C&D winner back in February but he's been struggling from his revised mark since and his overall record of three wins from 49 starts may not be good enough in this company.

Solid, consistent and regularly hits the frame but remains an 11-race maiden including a couple of heavy defeats here last term. Needs to improve on even his best form.

Five-race maiden well beaten and no impression on debut here last month. Best watched on handicap debut in this company.

33/1
Four-time course winner who has hit the frame on three occasions over C&D. Losing run dates back to 2015 and the gelding is now 17lb lower than last winning mark. Recent form doesn't warrant support here.

11/1
Modest eight-race maiden who has been largely well held in a number of starts on turf since June. Worth a market check on AW debut in first-time cheekpieces.

Off the track for over 18-months. Impressive two from five over C&D who is racing 9lb below last winning mark. Has been chasing recently but could be an interesting proposition on return to action.

Eight-race maiden which includes four defeats here though the Helmet filly did hit the frame earlier this month over 1m2½f. Remains to be seen whether another step up in trip will suit. Market check.

Well beaten and no impression in five career starts to date including a heavy 11½L defeat here earlier this month over 1m2½f. Well below par form looks set to continue.

Forecasts

Rips Dream (1/1), Spanish Dawn (9/2), Noble Intention (8/1), Easy Boy (8/1), A Few Bob Short (9/1), Miraculum (11/1), Paddy The Celeb (20/1), Magen's Moon (20/1), Fabulae (25/1), Baratheon (33/1), Cristy's Call (33/1), Hatch Hall (40/1)

Verdict

From showing little or no ability on turf the switch to the AW has been a masterstroke by trainer Patrick Flynn for his three-year-old gelding, RIPS DREAM who has improved 17lb since his debut here in September. The son of Rip Van Winkle can add to his C&D success in October and can see off his pursuers from stall one. Spanish Dawn, Baratheon and the Jim Bolger-trained Miraculum look the best of the rest, while returning C&D winner, Hatch Hall could surprise at a price.
