Off the track since scoring at Exeter in testing conditions seven months ago. 12lb higher mark to contend with and stable 1-45 in past two weeks.
Sliding down the weights and latest effort did not suggest he was ready to take advantage any time soon.
On a workable mark judged on his last success in December 2016. Form has been disappointing since and record fresh is mixed. Best watched in the market.
Anything but reliable and stable enduring a quiet period. Best watched having been pulled up with a burst blood vessel on last start.
Impressive winner of his bumper and showed ability in maiden company but ultimately has proved expensive to follow. Off since dropping out tamely on handicap debut.
Made all for a C&D victory under this rider three weeks ago. Has raced off much higher marks than this in better grades and he has done well to escape with a 3lb rise.
Picked up two races last season and probably needed run on return last month. Has plenty of stamina in his pedigree and could be the type to progress now tackling this trip for the first time.
Prone to errors when last seen almost 18 months ago. Hard to argue he is well-handicapped but still worth noting in the market.
Yet to fulfil bumper potential over hurdles. Resumes after a nine month break and yard 207 days without a winner.
Yard seemed on the brink of turning him around when second at Warwick in March. Pulled up next time and sidelined since.
Bred to appreciate this sort of trip and unexposed over hurdles. Absence to overcome but jockey booking looks positive.
Thorough stayer and on a manageable mark. Worries he will need this after a break and with yard struggling for winners.
Opened his account when scoring over fences at Newton Abbot in April and absent since. Runner-up in this 12 months ago off the same mark when having the benefit of a more recent run.
Forecasts
Solstice Star (7/2), Steel Bob (9/2), Juge Et Parti (5/1), Holdbacktheriver (7/1), Smart Boy (7/1), For Carmel (14/1), Albert D'olivate (14/1), Doesyourdogbite (16/1), Chloe's Court (25/1), Echo Watt (25/1), Topper Thornton (33/1), Western Climate (33/1), Eddy (40/1)
Doesyourdogbite and Steel Bob are interesting runners for big yards returning from a break. Both are worth monitoring in the market at this level but SOLSTICE STAR has nothing to prove regarding fitness. A 3lb rise for a return to form over C&D looks generous given the marks he has raced off in the past against superior rivals. Chloe's Court and Smart Boy are open to improvement now tackling this trip for the first time.
