Both his hurdling wind have been gained at this track and up 6lb for all the way victory a fortnight ago. Entitled to come on for that having been off for five months prior to that and should go well.
Plenty of form in stronger races when trained in Ireland and very good second to Coole Cody a year ago off this mark. Didn't show much on debut for this yard but should strip fitter and this a drop in grade.
Gained compensation for several placed efforts when winning gamely at Hexham in May Probably needed the run at Aintree on recent comeback and should fare better with that run under his belt.
Beaten 1L by a course specialist at Plumpton and with only two completing the course that didn't confirm his stamina for this trip but Bangor win prior to that has been well franked since if staying should be a player.
£24,000 buy from Henry Daly. Hasn't won since February 2016 despite several placed efforts and this trip looks on the short side. Now tries cheek pieces and tongue tie.
Back on the same mark as when springing a 33/1 shock ocer C&D nearly a year ago. Hasn't run to that since over hurdles but now wears cheek pieces which have worked for her on the Flat.
8lb above Sedgefield win in August but ran well in defeat twice since and will be happier returning to this trip.
Scored over 2m at Hexham in June but hasn't built on that since and although slightly better latest, others preferred here.
Won a pair of hurdles over 2m in the summer. Does stay this far but may need some respite from the handicapper.
Stiff tasks both starts since winning at Catterick in March and now stepping up from the minimum trip. Regular partner prefers the top-weight.
Won a pair of sellers in the summer and has struggled outside that company since. First time hood needs to inspire.
Forecasts
Wemyss Point (9/4), Lovato (9/2), Apterix (8/1), Quest For Life (8/1), Big Time Dancer (10/1), Mischievious Max (10/1), Will O'The West (12/1), Shine Baby Shine (12/1), Becky The Thatcher (16/1), Placedela Concorde (16/1), Old Salt (16/1)
WEMYSS POINT may only have won a three runner race here last time but as that was his first run since June he may find the required improvement to defy the rise. Lovato does have stamina to prove but if staying is a big threat on his Bangor victory while Quest For Life looks best of the rest.
- Wemyss Point
- Lovato
- Quest For Life
