Dream Du Grand Val257
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-12| J: J McGrath| T: N J Henderson| OR:  125
10/1
Still a maiden after seven starts in France but the yard do well with these types and interesting to see what the market makes of him, though only been with this trainer for 10 days.
2
Horse silk
Snapdragon Fire31
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-11| J: R Johnson| T: T Lacey| OR:  124| D
13/2
Gained a first win on his return to action at Huntingdon last month when making his handicap debut. 8lb higher here but not ruled out for a yard in excellent form and the Champion Jockey taking over.
3
Horse silk
Voodoo Dollp43
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-11| J: Isabel Williams(7)| T: Evan Williams| OR:  124| BF
14/1
Rattled off a hat-trick earlier in the campaign and running well in defeat on his last couple of starts but up 4lb for the latest effort at probably better at 2m4f.
4
Horse silk
Visioman39
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-9| J: Rachael Blackmore| T: H De Bromhead| OR:  122
10/1
Has been running well throughout 2018 and awarded a race in the stewards' room at Clonmel in May. Has held his form well since and trainer and jockey flying at present but needs more to defy this handicap mark.
5
Horse silk
Normal Norman9
Age: 4|  Weight: 11-9| J: Alain Cawley| T: J Ryan| OR:  122| D
20/1
Won a maiden hurdle at Market Rasen before a fair run in defeat at Musselburgh last week. Will need more to defy this mark on handicap debut.
6
Horse silk
Rockpoint192
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-8| J: S Bowen| T: C L Tizzard| OR:  121| BF
12/1
Still a maiden after eight starts and failed to justify odds-on favouritism (2/5) last time at Exeter. Doesn't look entirely straightforward and others preferred in a race this competitive.
7
Horse silk
Dostal Philh129
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-7| J: B J Geraghty| T: P Hobbs & J White| OR:  120| BF
7/1
Won a French bumper and improved from yard debut on first start since wind surgery to finish runner-up at Uttoxeter. Improvement likely and yard in form at present. Wears a first-time hood.
8
Horse silk
Sizing Cusimano21
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-5| J: R M Power| T: C L Tizzard| OR:  118
12/1
Perhaps lucky to win a three-runner novice event at Market Rasen when left alone in front. Well beaten here last time and others preferred.
9
Horse silk
Kapdad25
Age: 4|  Weight: 11-5| J: J E Moore| T: G & J Moore| OR:  118
16/1
Unlucky to still be a maiden after five starts and only narrowly denied last time at Plumpton when outpaced in the finish. Dropped 2lb and not ruled out if he comes on for that run, his first in 249 days.
10
Horse silk
Jacbequickv16
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-4| J: T Scudamore| T: D Pipe| OR:  117| D
10/1
Useful Flat performer who has taken well to this discipline this time around and got his head in front at Fakenham last time. More needed from 8lb higher in a deeper contest but not ruled out.
11
Horse silk
Try Again54
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-3| J: M A Enright| T: P W Flynn| OR:  116| D
10/1
Got his head in front for the first time over hurdles at Navan in September. Been dealt with harshly by the handicapper for that but there could be more to come in this sphere and not ruled out.
12
Horse silk
Fields Of Fortune44
Age: 4|  Weight: 11-3| J: Tom Cannon| T: A King| OR:  116
25/1
Won a maiden hurdle at Market Rasen in August but well beaten over hurdles at Bangor last time out and looks vulnerable from this sort of handicap mark. Yard in form.
13
Horse silk
The Twisler13
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-3| J: R T Dunne| T: N P Mulholland| OR:  116| D
20/1
Didn't need to improve to win a novice hurdle by a wide margin at Worcester but didn't seem to stay when only sixth of 14 at Ascot next time. Drop back in trip in his favour and may come on for that run, his first start in 100 days.
14
Horse silk
Red Hot Chilly28
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-1| J: P J Brennan| T: F O'Brien| OR:  114| D
16/1
Just one win in 12 starts for this yard and while running well in defeat in less competitive races than this, he looks vulnerable from a handicapping perspective in this race.
15
Horse silk
Vocaliserp204
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-1| J: C Poste| T: R Dickin| OR:  114| D
25/1
Won four times over fences last year but yet to win over hurdles and this may prove to be a prep run for another chase campaign.
16
Horse silk
Antunes237
Age: 4|  Weight: 11-1| J: Harry Skelton| T: D Skelton| OR:  114WS
14/1
Made a promising enough debut for this yard runner-up at Market Rasen but paid the price for jumping errors next time at Newbury. Has been gelded and had wind surgery since so may do better here on handicap debut.
17
Horse silk
Snookeredp26
Age: 4|  Weight: 11-0| J: Danny McMenamin(7)| T: B Ellison| OR:  113
16/1
Not disgraced in two hurdles starts and makes his handicap debut in this sphere off a workable handicap mark. Not one to put a line through.
18
Horse silk
Grand Canyon46
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-11| J: Bryony Frost| T: Miss A Mooney| OR:  110| BF| D
20/1
Won a handicap at Ballinrobe in September but struggled next time from his revised mark and he's likely to struggle in a race this deep.
19
Horse silk
Guido Renit50
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-10| J: Robbie Colgan| T: K Thornton| OR:  109| D
25/1
Won a Tipperary handicap in May but struggling from similar handicap marks to this of late and this is his toughest test to date.

Horse silk
My Brotherh16
Age: 5|  Weight: 10-10| J: N D Fehily| T: N P Mulholland| OR:  109
16/1
Has shaped like a nice prospect on all three starts for this yard. Had excuses last time when only third on handicap debut and ought to be capable of better here.

Forecasts

Snapdragon Fire (13/2), Dostal Phil (7/1), Try Again (10/1), Dream Du Grand Val (10/1), Jacbequick (10/1), Visioman (10/1), Rockpoint (12/1), Sizing Cusimano (12/1), Voodoo Doll (14/1), Antunes (14/1), Red Hot Chilly (16/1), My Brother (16/1), Snookered (16/1), Kapdad (16/1), Normal Norman (20/1), The Twisler (20/1), Grand Canyon (20/1), Guido Reni (25/1), Vocaliser (25/1), Fields Of Fortune (25/1)

Verdict

KAPDAD was consistent last season and he looks capable of running well if he comes on for his recent reappearance. Snookered and Dostal Phil both look feasibly handicapped and the latter could be the main danger with the yard in such good form at present.
  1. Kapdad
  2. Snookered
  3. Dostal Phil
