Useful novice chaser last season but has disappointed on his two most recent starts, including over 3m1f at Cheltenham (good) last month on his first start since wind surgery. This looks a less competitive contest however.
Finished runner-up twice last season and ran well when beaten 10L into fourth in a 3m handicap chase at Ascot (soft) in March. Absent since and is interesting on seasonal debut.
Impressive winner of a three runner handicap chase over an extended 3m2f at Wincanton (good) in May. Well beaten later that month and represents a yard in great form (7/26) on his return to action.
Good efforts in defeat the last twice including when runner-up in a three runner 3m handicap chase at Exeter (good-to-firm) last time out. Leading contender racing off the same mark on this occasion.
Forecasts
Beau Du Brizais (13/8), Braqueur D'Or (9/4), Fox Appeal (11/4), Bramble Brook (7/1)
BEAU DU BRIZAIS ran well in finishing runner-up last time and he is taken to go one better to take this four runner handicap chase. Braqueur D'Or contested a highly competitive event last time out and he can finish runner-up dropping in grade while Bramble Brook can get the better of Fox Appeal in the battle for third.
