2-2 around here and has gone well fresh in the past. However stable have gone two months without a winner.
Has his quirks and those clearly evident in his last two starts. Paddy Brennan, who scored on him in May, is back on board and that must be considered a plus. Stable have won two of the last four renewals of this contest.
Winner of five chases and now just 1lb above last winning mark. However, probably better in Class 4 and with some give in the ground.
Lost form having won this 12 months ago off 1lb higher. Stable have suffered with a long lasting bug but a winner on Tuesday may be a sign the tide has turned. Good ground is important and every chance he can improve on recent efforts.
Had been enjoying a good spell before mistakes prompted an early exit at Fakenham. Better than that run suggests but his best form has come in lower grades than this.
Bumped into an improver on return to chasing two weeks ago and this longer trip is more to his liking. Hard to rule out in his current mood.
Capable performer on his day over fences and hurdles but has some temperament issues. Has picked up a couple of minor hurdles this term and resumes chasing on a favourable mark if in the mood.
Point/Hunter Chase winner who had wind surgery after joining his current trainer. Slowly getting the hang of things under rules and returns from a break with the stable ending a lean spell yesterday.
Impressive winner at Warwick last week and due to race off a higher mark next time. This a sterner test but such was the manner of victory he is not easily dismissed.
Forecasts
Gardiners Hill (4/1), Hepijeu (5/1), Dreamsoftheatre (5/1), Royal Tara (11/2), Hey Bill (13/2), Agamemmon (8/1), Muckle Roe (8/1), The Happy Chappy (12/1), Little Windmill (12/1)
Last year's winner, The Happy Chappy, and Royal Tara represent yard's who have ended barren spells in the last couple of days and they are worth noting for market moves given the questions they have to answer here in terms of wellbeing. Dreamsoftheatre is undeniably well handicapped but he is hard to rely on nowadays. Agamemnon looks a tricky ride but he has won for today's rider and the stable have a good record in this. Hepijeu arrives in good nick, but GARDINERS HILL breezed to victory last week and remains on the right side of the handicapper despite his penalty.
- Gardiners Hill
- Hepijeu
- Royal Tara
