C&D winner whose four career successes all come at this venue. Disappointed here in final start last season on good but flopped on similar ground in the past. Conditions here more suitable and rated a leading contender on return.
Smart hurdler gained second success over fences when winning easily to end last season at Chepstow where he impressed with his jumping. Upped 8lb for reappearance but fully expectant that he can take that in stride and go well here.
Dual 3m winner at Perth in the summer but came unstuck latest in a hotter contest at Cheltenham (10th of 16). This more his level and returns to very workable mark for trainer with remarkable strike rate on these shores.
Consistency counted against him last term as he placed four times in final five races including third of six to end season off this mark. More needed now after a break and others appeal more.
Four-time chase winner but well beaten fifths in last two starts at Cartmel in the summer; a venue he's twice won at in the past. Not getting any younger so questions to answer now.
Dual 3m3f winner here in testing conditions (also effective over 4m). Suspect this a pipe-opener for similar true stamina tests after missing all last season and never won first time out in career so others appeal more.
Well over two years since he last won but placed in six of last eight starts. Recent return fourth over inadequate 2m4½f here showed all is well and has each way possibilities once more with a feather weight.
4m winner in the past defeated Silver Tassle a neck over 3m2f at Kelso two starts back before flopping with 6lb more to carry. Same mark for return and 2lb out of the handicap so plenty on his plate here.
