Hasn't shown a huge amount so far, but produced a better effort when a 7½L fourth from 1lb higher over hurdles last time. Sneaks into this lower grade for just his second chase start and with 5lb claimed, he could go well.
Consistent performer at lower levels and won two of his last three starts in the spring, both on heavy. 5lb rise for the last of those looks fair, but his record when fresh is a bit offputting.
Sole success came in a soft ground Ludlow maiden hurdle in 2016. Hasn't completed many times since then, and has been well held when doing so. Drops 3lb, but needs a significant revival.
Scored from this mark at Fontwell (3m2f, soft) on Boxing Day. Held since then. Returns from a break and has won when fresh, but at this age he could be forgiven for needing this.
7lb higher than when scoring over hurdles at Warwick (2m3f, good) in May. Not a bad effort on chase debut at Southwell last month. Should appreciate the return to a longer trip. Hood now applied. Interesting.
Sole win was four years ago. Each-way claims if back to his form of earlier this year, but has a bit to prove after being pulled up on his reappearance.
Forecasts
General Bux (13/8), Remember Forever (3/1), Chatelier (5/1), Britanio Bello (6/1), Finnegan's Garden (10/1), Goring One (10/1), Upham Running (25/1)
General Bux could go well here now dropped in grade for his second chase run, but the suggestion is to side with CHATELIER, who looks capable of better now back up in trip after just one chase run himself. Finnegan's Garden can't be ruled out, while Remember Forever is not written off.
