Won a maiden bumper at Kempton (AW) in March, before being held in a stronger contest at Cheltenham when last seen in April. Remains of interest back in this company on the Polytrack, though not easy under her penalty.
Half-sister to five winners from 1m-2m (inc AW) on the Flat. Out of 7f winner. Trainer 1-4 in bumpers this season, so well worth a market check on debut.

Showed a bit or promise when last seen sporting first-time hood, and after wind surgery, at Stratford in July. Trainer's few recent runners in decent form, so couldn't rule out a much more competitive effort this time.

Half-sister to winners over 1m4f and 1m. Dam placed on Fibresand over middle distances. Stable 13% in bumpers over past five seasons. Market check.

3-1 joint favourite on debut, but ran green and was tailed off. Should benefit from that experience and trainer traditionally does well in these races, so we will probably see a fair bit of improvement this time.

£62,000 at three. Half-sister to point winner Arctic Road. Dam bumper/2m3f hurdle winner, full-sister to a useful bumper/2m3f-2m4f hurdle/chase winner. Represents top trainer and should go well on debut.
Half-sister to bumper winner Special Mate; dam unraced full-sister to Best Mate and very useful staying chasers Cornish Rebel and Inca Trail. Stable quiet enough at present, but always to be respected in this discipline.

Forecasts

Parody (10/11), Giving Back (7/2), What A Hoot (9/2), Miss Honey Ryder (10/1), Fatima Blush (18/1), Drift (33/1), Annajemima (66/1)

Verdict

Not an easy race for punters to get the card underway and the suggestion is to side with debutante PARODY, who is related to bumper winners and represents a top trainer, who should have her ready to give a good account. What A Hoot is another interesting newcomer and bred to go places in this code, so a good debut would not surprise. Giving Back is an obvious choice, but successfully conceding weight is never easy in this discipline, while Miss Honey Ryder can probably do a fair bit better than she managed first time.
  1. Parody
