Fourth in second of his three bumpers remains a career best finishing position and after two laboured hurdle efforts he now returns to that code but will do well to better that fourth today.

Second here over 2m (heavy)in second of three bumpers last season his best effort to date. Slightly disappointing next time but possibilities now up in trip and on considerably quicker surface providing both are handled.

Never nearer fifth on debut at Punchestown and went one better next time up at Wexford when fourth. Should benefit for the extra 4f here and has genuine claims here if the selection isn't as smart as predicted.

Slight improvement at Cork latest although she filled the same finishing position (seventh). Was however beaten 14½L so good bit more needed in a competitive if small field.

Newcomer by Saddler Maker out of unraced dam from a prolific French family over hurdles and fences from 2m-3m5f. Champion trainer without parallel in such contests and already boasts 37 per cent strike rate in bumpers this season.

Well related daughter of Milan found things happening a little quickly on debut at Tramore last month as she finished fifth of eight beaten 12½L. Should progress for that experience so not totally ruled out here.

Verdict

Willie Mullins has started this season in fantastic form including in bumpers and debutant MISS SHOE CITY won't have to be a stable star to win a race like this so she is worth chancing in an otherwise ordinary contest. Extrapolate for Mullins' lone title rival Gordon Elliott rates the danger here based on his course second although faces vastly different ground this time. Pakens Rock should improve for an extra 4f here and rates the best of the rest.

  2. Extrapolate
  3. Pakens Rock
