Yard 4-26 with their bumper runners here, so respected on that, and he's shown ability in two starts already. This may be a little easier and he's got chances.
Bred to have some speed about him but yard just 1-36 in bumpers last five years and on that statistic alone, best to look elsewhere.
Half-brother to 6f/7f Flat winner Lexington Times, and yard have an excellent 35% strike rate with their bumper winners here, but on pedigree stamina must be a worry for debut and others make more appeal.
Improved on two previous starts to finish third to the useful Colonel Custard at Newton Abbot in May, not seen since and yard 0-15 in bumpers last five years, but hard to discount totally if fit and ready to go.

Related to plenty of winners under both codes and showed some ability on bumper debut at Wincanton last April. Should improve and yard 4-18 with their bumper runners here, so worth a second look.

Placed in a couple of point-to-points and as with stablemate Moromac, has joined a yard that do well at the track, but is another that might need a bit more time. Worth a look in the market all the same.
Yard are 1-10 with their bumper runners here and this one makes plenty of appeal on paper, being a brother to the useful Rather Be and closely related to good hurdler Sign Of A Victory. Of interest here and a market move needs heeding.

Forecasts

Alrightjack (6/4), I K Brunel (11/4), House Island (7/2), Hymn And A Prayer (6/1), Sign Of War (7/1), Milkwood (7/1), On The Slopes (12/1), Moromac (25/1), French Piece (28/1), Corruption (50/1)

Verdict

As ever the market will be informative, and although those with form have shown enough to win a race, it's the unraced pair of SIGN OF WAR and I K Brunel that make the most appeal. Both are bred to be useful and choosing between the pair isn't easy, but as long as the ground stays good then Sign Of War may just have a bit more speed. Hymnandaprayer and Alrightjack can fight it out for the minor medal.
  1. Sign Of War
  2. I K Brunel
  3. Alrightjack
