Placed in a couple of point-to-points on soft ground in the spring. Good third over an extended 2m3f at Chepstow (good) on Rules debut last month and closely matched with Festival Dawn on that running.

Belmont Jewel26
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-12| J: Benjamin Poste| T: M Scudamore
125/1
Had just two starts since winning a point-to-point in April last year. Finished well beaten at Chepstow last month on her first start in well over a year and others make more appeal.

Horse silk
Berborut133
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-12| J: David Bass| T: B Pauling
100/1
Placed in three point-to-points but finished well beaten in a Fontwell (good-to-soft) bumper on Rules debut last month and is probably best watched switched to hurdles.

33/1
Ran well to finish 6L second in a 2m4f contest at Perth (good) in September. Likely more needed if she's to take this contest.

Age: 5|  Weight: 10-12| J: D A Jacob| T: Miss E C Lavelle

Good ground bumper winner at Stratford in June but finished well beaten in a four runner novice hurdle subsequently. Others hold stronger claims.

Stepped up on her sole bumper start when finishing 21L third in a heavy ground novice hurdle at Warwick (2m) on hurdling debut in March. Step up in trip should suit on seasonal debut.

Career best effort in finishing third in a 12 runner bumper at Warwick (good-to-soft) in February. Worth a check in the market on hurdling debut.

Forecasts

Festival Dawn (11/8), Annie Mc (2/1), Outofthisworld (15/2), Shantung (14/1), Forget Me Knot (14/1), Rococo Style (16/1), Moonlight Dancer (22/1), Carrolls Milan (33/1), Moody Maggie (33/1), Berboru (100/1), Belmont Jewel (125/1)

Verdict

ANNIE MC caught the eye in finishing third at Chepstow last time and with the step up in distance likely to suit she is taken to reverse form with Festival Dawn who finished one place in front of her that day. Third place can go to Outofthisworld who can put an unseat here last time out behind her to finish third.
  1. Annie Mc
  2. Festival Dawn
  3. Outofthisworld
