C&D and dual winner of this contest in 2012 and 2016. Second to Logical Song in this race 12-months ago and quite capable of hitting the frame despite advancing years.
Course winner who has disappointed in his two most recent starts over the larger obstacles. Others preferred.
Running gallantly when third in the Irish National, before disappointing when only getting as far as the second at Punchestown in April. Not one to totally leave out of calculations.
Sixth of 14 in this contest 12-months ago and won the Midlands National at Kilbeggan on seasonal debut off a 9lb lower mark. Not disgraced in subsequent Kerry and Munster Nationals. Entitled to make the shortlist here.
One from three this season and needs to raise overall performance but appears to be on a handy mark on handicap debut.
Beaten favourite when last seen when finishing third of 16 in a Fairyhouse handicap chase in April. Needs to improve but not ruled out here.
Winner of the Midlands national at Kilbeggan in July before being disqualified. Well held in recent Kerry and Munster nationals but not easy to discount.
Has shot up the handicap after three wins from his last five starts, and took the Ulster National at Downpatrick in March with plenty in hand. Well held since and needs to improve here.
Beaten 9L on return to action at Ballinrobe last month following a seven-month sabbatical, but should strip fitter for that run but looks up against it.
Comes here on a hat-trick of wins following wins at Limerick and Listowel recently. Not the most straightforward of sorts but holds realistic place claims.
Course winner who has had a busy campaign which looking at recent starts have taken a toll. Looks a tall order.
Course winner who was beaten favourite when last seen in a Sligo chase over 3m½f in September. Will need to improve to figure but stable are in fine form at the moment landing a treble at Down Royal yesterday.
Blinkers have coincided with improved performances and is capable of hitting the frame following a couple of encouraging chases at Sligo and Gowran Park recently.
Ran out when 3L up and in control at Cheltenham last month. Needs to improve once again here but has strong place claims in this contest.
Sole chase win came over 12-months ago and has shown little spark since over fences. Hard to see him making any significant impact in this competitive contest
Generally out of form but was still in contention when under pressure and falling at the last at Punchestown when last seen in January. Mid-division when falling four out in this contest 12-months ago.
Eight-race chase maiden who will need to step up on on previous performances to play a role in this company.
Just the one win from 17 over fences, holding off Routes Choice at Punchestown in January. Possibly needed the run when making no impression at Listowel in September.
Got off the mark for connections winning his first handicap chase at the fourth time of asking. Needs to improve here but not ruled out.
Finally won at the 30th time of asking over the larger obstacles when landing a 2m5f Sligo handicap off a 10lb lower mark. Likely to struggle.
