6/4
Grade 1 winner at Leopardstown and runner-up in the RSA at Cheltenham last term. Going well when coming down at Punchestown when last seen in April. Concedes weight and a fitness advantage, but has won on last two seasonal bows

7/1
Finished 7L behind Monalee at Leopardstown before going on to collect valuable prizes at the Cheltenham and Punchestown festivals. Looked fortunate on the latter occasion, but has won here previously and will not mind the ground.

Peregrine Runb5
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-8| J: R Loughran| T: Peter Fahey| OR:  151| CD
8/1
Rated a few pounds short of the principals but arrives fit and sound with conditions to his liking. Inclined to make an occasional mistake and can ill afford any errors in this company.

In good form at the turn of the year but his form had deteriorated by the spring and he is officially rated a long way behind these.

Age: 7|  Weight: 11-5| J: Jack Kennedy| T: G Elliott| OR:  153| D
4/1
Landed two Grade 1 contests as a novice including the JLT at Cheltenham. Probably feeling the effects of those efforts when looking below par at Punchestown. Has won on each of her seasonal bows.

Snow Falcon52
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-5| J: Sean Flanagan| T: N Meade| OR:  156| D
11/4
Good run behind Clarcam (fourth) in the Galway Plate and more than matched that when winning the Kerry National at Listowel (3m, soft). Fit and gets an allowance but would be more appealing over further and on softer ground.

Forecasts

Monalee (6/4), Snow Falcon (11/4), Shattered Love (4/1), The Storyteller (7/1), Peregrine Run (8/1), Blue Empyrean (100/1)

Verdict

Peregrine Run and Snow Falcon have fitness on their side with the former more suited to these conditions. However, Monalee and SHATTERED LOVE stand out on form. Both go well fresh and the former proved himself at the highest levels as a novice. The concession of 7lb to the selection looks a stiff task though, particularly as Gordon Elliott's mare has an outstanding record off a break and looks better equipped to handle this trip on this ground. The Storyteller won major prizes at Cheltenham and Punchestown but looked a shade fortunate on the latter occasion and this promises to be tougher.
  1. Shattered Love
  2. Monalee
  3. Peregrine Run
