Flat maiden who showed little on sole hurdling start. Has since produced a career best in a valuable Leopardstown handicap and hard to be sure that form can be trusted.
Poor Flat maiden makes hurdling debut for new yard having been bought for £7,500. Others have much stronger claims.
Off the track since beating subsequent St Leger third Southern France on debut in April. Has moved to a powerful yard and one which has taken two of the last three renewals of this race.
Took a heavy fall here on hurdling bow when supported beforehand. Had a confidence boosting clear round at Punchestown 18 days ago and no surprise if he built on that here.
Landed a Leopardstown maiden for Ger Lyons and achieved an official rating in the 80s. Stable are 2-5 in this contest so one to take seriously.
Modest Flat maiden for Keith Dagleish who joined this yard for £6,000 in September. Suited by cut in the ground and likely to find a few of these too quick.
Low grade Flat handicapper who has had a couple of runs over timber which show he is comfortably held by a couple of these.
Dual Flat winner who has the size to make his mark under NH rules. Has the benefit of an eyecatching hurdles debut and stable have a good record in this contest.
First two runs over hurdles show he has the ability to win a small race. That experience counts for a lot, but there are some promising types in this who showed a lot more on the Flat.
Average Flat maiden who did not jump fluently on hurdles debut in August. Interesting Jack Kennedy opts for this one ahead of two stable companions with stronger claims. Yard have won two of the last three runnings of this event
Moderate 14-race Flat maiden makes hurdling debut for a yard with a 2-111 record with jumpers over the past five seasons.
Poor Flat maiden with an official rating of just 39. Hard to envisage the switch to hurdling making enough of a difference.
Forecasts
Coeur Sublime (8/11), Monkeylou (11/2), Our Legend (7/1), Future Proof (15/2), Far Reach (12/1), Viscount Wilson (18/1), Ashqar (33/1), Highway To Heaven (50/1), Here In The Dark (66/1), Balgowlah (66/1), Let It Go Papa (66/1), Sun A Rye (100/1)
Gordon Elliott has won two of the last three renewals and also had the runner-up 12 months ago. He saddles three this time and with Davy Russell opting for Monkeylou and Jack Kennedy going for Viscount Wilson. The former was the pick of these on the Flat but stable companion Coeur Sublime looked a useful sort when beating a Ballydoyle runner on his sole start. Our Legend has valuable experience but FUTURE PROOF gets the vote given his yard's 2-5 record in this race and and a useful level of form on the Flat for Ger Lyons.
- Future Proof
- Monkeylou
- Coeur Sublime
