Useful stayer on the Flat for John Butler and already looks like making up into just a good a hurdler, based on debut victory at Huntingdon where he was always in the right place at the right time. Every chance of following up here.
Bits and pieces of ability shown on first four starts but took a leap forward when winning at Warwick last time. Has possibly just been a slow learner, harder task under penalty but going the right way now.
Not the worst debut effort behind a couple of decent sorts at Haydock last December but not seen since, and may be one for handicaps further down the line.
Low-grade middle distance horse on the Flat but did win one on fast ground at Redcar in June, so surface here not an issue. No chance when last of three here last time out but plenty to find on the figures nevertheless.
Purchased for £20,000 at sales this spring after a win in an Irish point-to-point in April (heavy ground). May not find this enough of a test for yard that haven't really caught fire as they normally do this time of the year.
Looked a useful recruit when winning on bumper debut at Worcester, ran as if something amiss at Worcester last time and best not to judge him on that. Should do better and every chance of a medal here.
Winner of a couple of point-to-points but they were fairly moderate affairs and although the ground should be fine here, she can only be watched on hurdles debut today.
Forecasts
Denmead (4/11), Skidoosh (4/1), He's A Goer (5/1), Mayohill (8/1), Bene Regina (40/1), Leodis (40/1), Another Day Done (100/1), Casimir Du Clos (100/1)
DENMEAD has a penalty to carry for his Huntingdon win and he might have been slightly flattered by the way that race panned out (leaders went very quick) but all the same, it was quite impressive and he can follow up at the expense of Skidoosh, who ran to bad to be true last time out and is surely better than that. He's a Goer looks the one for the trifecta.
