Didn't show much in bumpers and two efforts over hurdles haven't amounted to much. Didn't jump well at Bellewstown and then was always in rear at Downpatrick. Needs to do plenty more.
Good level of form in two starts in bumpers, winning at the second attempt at Navan. Likely to want a fence in time but should relish a first start over hurdles for trainer that has won this race four times in recent years.
Showed a decent level of form in bumpers winning two starts back and going close under a penalty at Cork last time. Looks an interesting recruit to hurdles and sure to go well.
Failed to complete in two starts in points and then fell again in a beginners chase at Punchestown when last seen in June. Reverts to hurdles now and needs a clear round at the very least.
Mustameet gelding is a half-brother to modest hurdler Doc Hollywood and hurdles winner Lisclogher Lad. Always in rear on both starts to date over hurdles and similar story on the cards here.
Yeats gelding; closely related to useful performer Now This Is It; never competitive in either start in Irish point-to-points (3m); starts out for new yard today.
Forecasts
First Approach (9/10), Diamond Turf (1/1), Largy Beach (40/1), Hill Of Keash (50/1), Arizengo (50/1), Lisclogher Flyer (100/1)
This is likely to develop into a match between First Approach and DIAMOND TURF who both go hurdling for the first time. Preference is for the latter who possibly has more scope for improvement and hails from a yard that have won this race four times in recent years.
