Showed promise on his first couple of starts and he's only been narrowly denied in two subsequent runs in maiden company. The form of his latest effort looks solid and a switch back to this surface is likely to be in his favour.

Lawman colt, cost €25,000 as a yearling. Half-brother to a winner over further. Dam a half-sister to a multiple Group 1 winner. Showed little on debut at Tipperary when last of 16 earlier in the month. Needs to have learnt plenty in the interim.
Holy Roman Emperor colt, related to a winner over this trip. Dam a half-sister to a winning chaser. Others make more appeal.
Showed some promise on debut and unseated the rider on his second start last week. No such issues here on Friday when sixth of 14 and considerately handled. Should continue to improve.
Thewayyouare gelding, half-brother to five winners, most at similar trips. Dam a 1m winner. Well beaten in a C&D maiden earlier in the month and may be in need of more time.
Well beaten here on debut last month but there was some more promise in his run at Cork last time. Step up in trip should suit but wide draw not ideal.

Valirann filly, half-sister to a winner. Dam a maiden and half-sister to a US Grade 2 winner. Well beaten on debut and likely to be in need of more time.

EMPIRE STATE sets a solid standard on his form since returning from a mid-season break and jockey bookings suggest he's the first string from Aidan O'Brien's pair. It's probably worth forgiving Excelcius' effort last time after a below par effort last time but Jim Bolger's Repetitio could be the main danger if he steps forward from his latest course effort.
