Disappointed in three hurdles starts up until May. Trainers having a fine time of it in the last month with a 65% win and place strike rate so no surprise to witness improvement here.
Distance winner of a Towcester maiden hurdle in May but failed to complete in a couple of starts since in novice company. May struggle in this contest.
Has shown little noteworthy form in two bumper starts and three novice hurdles including a 14L defeat on return to the track last month. Worth a market check on handicap debut.
Placed in a couple of point-to-points in Ireland but well held in four starts over hurdles to date and yard without a winner here in five years.
Distance winner of a Taunton handicap hurdle in March off an 8lb lower mark. Beaten 12L at Wincanton since and may need the run on seasonal debut.
11-race maiden who was running a fair race when coming down at the 9th in three-mile handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter before another laboured display at Kempton when last seen in May. Others preferred.
Running well in defeat in a number of stars this time last year. Possibly needed the run on return to action earlier this month and yard have been hitting the frame on plenty of occasions over the last week.
Best effort so far over hurdles when a closing third at Worcester back in June but has finished well down the field in a couple of dismal efforts recently. Hard to fancy on latest evidence.
Has rendered a number of below-par displays since joining his current yard over 18-months ago. Yard have on hit the frame in the last 17 starts. Plenty to prove in this contest.
Generally ineffective during a summer hurdling campaign, bar a third out 12 at Plumpton last month which looks like a one -off. Will need to raise overall performance to play a role here.
Has shown little in five career starts on different surfaces and over a variety of distances. Yard a little quiet currently and best watched here.
Slight signs of promise for new yard at Fontwell last month on hurdles bow but has been well held when never nearer in a couple of spins since. Well below-par form looks set to continue here.
14-race maiden over hurdles and has failed to hit the frame in any of them. Hard to fancy on evidence to hand.
Missing from the track for the best part of three years when returning in a Huntingdon maiden hurdle in April. Beaten again since and looks up against it here.
10-race maiden hurdler who is without success over hurdles in six starts. First time tongue-tie unlikely to bring about the required amount of improvement needed to play a role here.
Forecasts
Stop Talking (11/4), Just For Tara (5/1), Chilli Romance (6/1), Kalarika (6/1), Kaddys Dream (8/1), Angel Of The North (9/1), Shadow's Girl (10/1), No No Jolie (16/1), Passing Dream (25/1), Agent Memphis (25/1), Remember Me Well (33/1), Gilly Grace (40/1), Rule The Ocean (50/1), Skylark Lady (66/1), Dont Call Me Doris (66/1)
Could be a battle for the early lead here with Rule The Ocean and possibly, Don't Call Me Doris disputing in the initial stages of the contest. The Fergal O'Brien team have been hitting the bar with their handicap hurdlers this month but CHILLI ROMANCE is capable of hitting the target here, improving on a promising seasonal debut earlier this month. The seven-year-old can see off the attentions of Stop Talking and No No Jolie who can be in the skirmish for the minor places.
- Chilli Romance
- Stop Talking
- No No Jolie
