Bred to be a chaser (brother to smart jumper Une Artiste), and won a Chepstow bumper in March 2017. Hasn't matched that form over hurdles, including in handicaps, but possible he will prove a different proposition switched to fences after a break.
First run after wind surgery and in blinkers/tongue tie when third in a competitive handicap hurdle over an extended 2m here in August, but failed to match that form at Southwell next time. Bit to prove on switch to fences.
Won a point-to-point at the fourth attempt, but no great impact under Rules until finishing a respectable fourth in an Exeter novice in February. Has since left Charles Whittaker, and one to note on chase/handicap bow for new stable.
Still a maiden after 24 starts under Rules, and has more experience than his rivals over fences. Ran pretty well over 3m at Southwell last month, but not in same form next time, and remains vulnerable to anything with potential.
Nothing special on breeding, but has been gradually progressive in short career to date, and ran well when third of 6 to Roo Roo in a 2m4f novice hurdle at Perth last time. Has the scope to jump fences, and one of the more interesting ones.
Produced career-best effort over hurdles when runner-up in a 2m6f handicap in June, and made a promising start over fences when second to Ortenzia in a 2m1f handicap earlier this month. Up 4lb, but capable of better.
Flattered by distance beaten when seventh of 12 over hurdles at Ludlow (2m5f) in April, and soundly beaten otherwise over timber. Placed in a maiden point-to-point in Ireland, but hard to be enthusiastic about her prospects here.
Bit better on final hurdles start when third at Ludlow in May, but couldn't build on that when a distant fourth on chase debut at Worcester last month. May do better now handicapping, but still needs to improve.
Seemed to be finding his level when making the frame at Worcester and over C&D in the spring, but well beaten on return from a break here earlier this month, and held by Ballyantics on that running.
Forecasts
Ballyantics (3/1), Cuddles Mcgraw (4/1), Ballycamp (5/1), Dessinateur (5/1), Some Chaos (11/2), Shininstar (13/2), Rockalzaro (10/1), Blackjacktennessee (33/1), Lara Trot (40/1)
BALLYANTICS made a promising start over fences when second here recently, and holds Shininstar on that form. Cuddles McGraw ran well at Perth when last seen, and is open to further improvement in this discipline, with Some Chaos of interest on handicap debut now starting out for Michael Scudamore
