(2)

Winter Light³⁰

Age: 2| Weight: 9-7| J: S W Kelly| T: R Hughes| OR: 87

8/11

Winner of one of her five starts and placed in the other four so nothing wrong with her attitude. Sets the standard for a stable going well, but has to concede weight all round.

Form: 22134

(4)

Bethena

Age: 2| Weight: 9-0| J: E J Walsh⁽³⁾| T: R M H Cowell

25/1

Bated Breath filly whose is closely related to a 7f juvenile winner. Stable's two-year-olds normally need their debut runs, but she is worth a check in the betting.

Form:

(6)

Catheadans Fiyah³⁸

Age: 2| Weight: 9-0| J: R Havlin| T: M R Bosley

100/1

Firebreak filly who is a sister to modest 5½f scorer for this stable, Catheadans Fury. Last of 12 on debut at Newbury and can only be watched until showing more.

Form: 0

(3)

Collect Call¹⁸

Age: 2| Weight: 9-0| J: Jason Watson| T: K R Burke| OR: 84| BF

7/4

Maiden after four starts, but has shown a good level of form and was a good second over C&D earlier this month. Looks sure to be on the premises again.

Form: 7252

(7)

Congress Place¹¹

Age: 2| Weight: 9-0| J: Kevin Lundie⁽⁵⁾| T: M Appleby

33/1

Fair deal of promise when beaten 4L on both starts at this venue and Brighton. Should be winning in due course, but may be better suited to handicaps.

Form: 64

(5)

Pretty Eyes

Age: 2| Weight: 9-0| J: Nicola Currie⁽³⁾| T: R Hughes

14/1

Kodiac filly who cost £70,000 as a yearling and is a half-sister to an AW winner over 1m. Debut run for a stable which probably has a stronger contender in Winter Light.

Form:

(1)

The Galla Girl¹⁸

Age: 2| Weight: 9-0| J: Aaron Jones⁽³⁾| T: D P Quinn| D

25/1

Sent off at 66-1 when landing a 6f seller at Wolverhampton, but back down to earth over 7f at this track last time. Looks to have plenty on her plate in this company.

Form: 810

Forecasts

Winter Light (8/11), Collect Call (7/4), Pretty Eyes (14/1), The Galla Girl (25/1), Bethena (25/1), Congress Place (33/1), Catheadans Fiyah (100/1)

Winter Light is the obvious starting point, but she has no easy task conceding 7lb all round. Preference, then, is for COLLECT CALL, who boasts good form in four outings and was a creditable second over C&D last time. Congress Place is one to keep an eye on with handicaps in mind, while Bethena and Pretty Eyes are interesting newcomers.
