25/1
Good second over an extended 3m2f at Sedgefield (soft) in March but held when coming down upped to an extended 3m6f at Perth (soft) subsequently. Worth a check in the market following a break.

First appearance since wind surgery came when finishing 17L third over an extended 2m7f at Huntingdon (good) a fortnight ago. Worth a check in the market off a 3lb lower mark.

10/1
Ran well to finish third over an extended 2m7f at Downpatrick (soft) last time out. Races off a 1lb lower mark here and good ground forecast is in his favour.

Achill Road Boy173
Age: 9|  Weight: 11-7| J: Sam Coltherd(5)| T: W Coltherd| OR:  98| BF| C
11/1
Sent off favourite and still held chances when falling five out in a 3m2f handicap chase at Kelso (good) in May. Absent since and market support would be notable on his return to action.
6
Horse silk
Nortonthorpelegend156
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-7| J: C O'Farrell| T: R Menzies| OR:  98| CD
16/1
Pulled up the last twice and handicap mark is falling as a result. Finds himself on a mark 15lb lower than for his latest success but looks a risky proposition at present.
7
Horse silk
Apache Pilott135
Age: 10|  Weight: 11-6| J: Dale Irving(3)| T: M A Barnes| OR:  97| D
28/1
Victorious over this trip at Hexham (good) in May and ran well in defeat in two subsequent starts. Races off a mark 9lb higher than for his most recent victory on his first start since June.

Tooseyt11
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-6| J: James Bowen| T: G P Cromwell| OR:  97| D
11/4
Put a couple of disappointing hurdles efforts behind him when finishing 7L second at Uttoxeter (3m, good-to-soft) recently. Capable of running well once more.

Age: 8|  Weight: 11-4| J: Craig Nichol| T: R Dobbin| OR:  95
33/1
In good form last season winning three times while he also placed over 3m2f at Kelso (good) in May. Likely to have improved for his return from a break (pulled up).

Spinning Scootert16
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-10| J: Thomas Dowson(3)| T: M A Barnes| OR:  87
33/1
18 race maiden pulled up on soft going in a 3m handicap chase at Hexham last time out. Others make more appeal.

Inchcolm122
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-5| J: Harry Reed(3)| T: T Davidson| OR:  82| BF| D
2/1
Winner of a novices handicap chase at Hexham (3m, good) in May and placed twice subsequently. Leading contender off a light weight on debut for a small yard who have made a good start with their Rules runners.

Forecasts

Inchcolm (2/1), Toosey (11/4), Golden Investment (11/2), Quiet Account (10/1), Achill Road Boy (11/1), Nortonthorpelegend (16/1), Kings Eclipse (25/1), Apache Pilot (28/1), Attention Please (33/1), Spinning Scooter (33/1), Imperial Prince (33/1)

Verdict

INCHOLM receives weight from all of his rivals and having been in good form for his previous yard earlier this year he is taken to make a winning debut for his new trainer in this staying handicap chase. The selection has the trip and forecast underfoot conditions to suit and he can see off Toosey who appeared to appreciate the return to fences last time out. Quiet Account ran well on soft going last time and he is taken to finish third with the better ground forecast likely to suit.
  1. Inchcolm
  2. Toosey
  3. Quiet Account
