7/2
Heavy-ground maiden winner at Clonmel over 2m in early 2017. Not at best in two handicap runs back from a layoff but entitled to have a say on these terms.

Horse silk
Sinndar Sandyp35
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-7| J: H P Cleary(7)| T: Michael G Cleary| OR:  94
33/1
Below these on hurdles rating, poor at Navan last month (2m6f, good to firm) and surely others are better placed today.
3
Horse silk
Sapphire Lady14
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-3| J: Paul Townend| T: W P Mullins| OR:  124
4/6
Second Willie Mullins-trained runner in this field, maiden hurdle winner at Listowel in June, ran well in Galway handicap over this trip in August and exposed since in Listed contest. Strong claims in this field.
4
Horse silk
Call Curtinh1,t120
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-10| J: Donagh Meyler| T: G J Power
100/1
Sent off 50/1 on debut at Tipperary (2m4f, good) this month and was pulled up having started to struggled a long way from home. Big ask.

Elusive Highb172
Age: 5|  Weight: 10-10| J: A E Lynch| T: R P Rath
100/1
Sent off a big price on debut in novice hurdle at Tramore (2m, good) and beaten a wide margin. Blinkers added this time, hard to make a case for.
6
Horse silk
Fiveaftermidnight88
Age: 5|  Weight: 10-10| J: J P O'Sullivan(7)| T: P J Rothwell| OR:  108
3/1
Lightly-raced maiden over hurdles, best effort came over this trip at Tipperary on good ground in May in maiden company. Well held in Galway handicap at the Festival over 2m½f, could have a say here.

Forecasts

Sapphire Lady (4/6), Fiveaftermidnight (3/1), Chambord Du Lys (7/2), Sinndar Sandy (33/1), Call Curtin (100/1), Elusive High (100/1)

Verdict

Willie Mullins fires two at this prize and it won't be a shock if they fight out the finish. Preference is for SAPPHIRE LADY, on the strength of her Galway Festival handicap effort in August. She was well held since in a Listed race but should take beating under Paul Townend now. Chambord Du Lys hasn't been at her best in two runs this term but can do better on these terms while Fiveaftermidnight is a potential improver and appeals most of the remainder.
  1. Sapphire Lady
  2. Chambord Du Lys
  3. Fiveaftermidnight
