Managed three wins in eight starts on the Flat for Michael Dods in Britain. Off more than a year ahead of jumps bow for new handler, market can guide.
Maiden winner on debut at Dundalk on the AW a year ago, despite going off a 50/1 poke. Finished second on first start for champion jumps trainer in 2m good-ground maiden hurdle at Gowran Park this month, should be more to come.
Fame And Glory gelding, wore a hood (retained) recently on hurdling bow at Downpatrick but was still too keen and eventually pulled up.
Beaten just 7L in a bumper at Clonmel on debut this month, has pedigree to take to this sphere and one to note in the betting.
Fame And Glory half-brother to three winners, including fairly useful hurdler/useful chaser King of The Wolds and fair hurdler Rubipresent. Could have a say on debut.
Well down the field in a Down Royal bumper in May on debut, hails from a good yard and no shock if he improves on that form soon over jumps.
No impact so far in three starts, two of them over timber, going off big prices each time. Returns from a break and will earn a handicap mark after this.
Three starts over hurdles and hasn't convinced so far, perhaps better than able to show when pulled up at Clonmel this month (2m4f, good) but not one to trust right now.
Only beat one rival home on jumps bow at Tramore (2m, good) this month, having previously toiled in bumpers. Others have better claims.
Twice-raced over timber, last-time-out effort at Roscommon (2m, good) wasn't devoid of promise and perhaps can play some role here over longer trip.
Failed to beat a rival home in novice hurdle at Down Royal (2m, good to firm) last month and can only be watched as a result.
Milan filly, pulled up over 2m here last month on debut in a maiden hurdle and well held since at Roscommon. Up in trip and all to prove at the moment.
Forecasts
Panther Soul (4/11), Barwell (5/1), The Hunter Hoe (9/1), Convara (12/1), Adulterated (14/1), Kearney (25/1), Secret Cargo (33/1), Daboomisback (33/1), Lesssaidthebetter (50/1), Slippery Slope (50/1), Presenting Sun (100/1), Arcadette (100/1)
PANTHER SOUL was coming back a 12-month layoff when runner-up at Gowran Park on his hurdling bow recently. He has room to improve his technique over the obstacles, but couldn't be in better hands to do just that and looks best placed to land the opener. Convara wasn't beaten far in a bumper at Clonmel on debut recently and should be suited to this game, while three-time Flat winner Barwell needs a good look on his first foray for new connections.
- Panther Soul
- Convara
- Barwell
