Disappointed for previous trainer but expected to improve here for new yard. Solid 21% strike rate for the handler at this meeting in the last three years and a 57% win and place strike rate in the same period.
Solid and consistent in a number of starts in a busy summer campaign and , if still in good shape, can be a leading player.
Won a novice chase at Limerick in December on heavy ground over 2m1½f. Well held in four handicap chase starts since. Worth a market check with the trainer holding a 43% win and place strike rate at this meeting in the last three seasons.
Solid campaigner looking to add to his three wins over the larger obstacles here, though he is possibly still in the grips of the handicapper running 6lbs higher than his last winning mark.
C&D winner but not scored anywhere since 2016 and losing run now totals 13. Each way claims on his best form.
Holds strong figures over the larger obstacles winning five of his 17 starts. Tough and genuine individual that generally gives his all.
C&D winner back in 2014 and has shown poor form in a series of dismal displays towards the end of the last campaign. Others preferred.
Sole chase win came over 12-months ago and has shown little spark since over fences. Hard to see him making any significant impact.
Pulled up latest at Gowran Park earlier this month but has been chasing of late with plenty of success. Place claims.
Forecasts
Tout Est Permis (15/8), Dont Kick Nor Bite (7/2), Surf Instructor (7/2), Nobody Home (6/1), Georges Conn (12/1), He Rock's (14/1), Mick The Jiver (16/1), Aranhill Chief (20/1), Heist (25/1)
The solid and consistent, J P McManus-owned, DONT KICK NOR BITE can continue his burgeoning chasing career here following a win at Roscommon and finishing 7L ahead of the rest when a runner-up at Punchestown this month. The Henry De Bromhead yard have a good record at this meeting in recent years can prove to be the biggest danger with Surf Instructor. Mick The Jiver and Tout Est Permis, on stable debut are deserving of consideration.
- Dont Kick Nor Bite
- Surf Instructor
- Tout Est Permis
