Milan gelding out of a Lord Americo mare. Half-brother to Jezki, Darlan and recent Carlisle winner One Night In Milan. Market likely to be best guide.
Will have disappointed powerful connections with a couple of below-standard runs towards the end of last season. Requires a market check on return to action.
Point-to-point winner earlier in the year but has shown next to nothing in a couple of maiden hurdle spins recently. Hard to see him making any significant impact.
Well held when finishing down the field in a number of gloomy bumper starts since April. Hard to fancy until showing any signs of ability.
Winner of a couple of bumpers at the start of last season before not being disgraced in Grade 1 contests at the Cheltenham and Punchestown festivals. Likely to be a warm order.
Hasn't repeated the promise of his debut at Punchestown in June suffering defeats at Roscommon over hurdles and when reverting to a Tipperary bumper earlier this month. Very little to be positive about.
Beaten over 70+L when left toiling in a couple of career starts in maiden hurdles at Limerick and Listowel over 2m. Plenty to prove in this contest.
Has shown plenty of promise in a number of encouraging spins in maiden hurdles over the summer finishing runner-up on his last two starts. Deserves a change of luck.
Plenty to work on here following a couple of desolate efforts in 2m - 2m4f bumpers in the summer. Looks opposable.
Gelding by Scorpion out of a Be My Native mare. Half-brother to Might Bite, Tell Us More and recent Tramore hurdle winner, Thisonesforollie. Market likely to reveal expectations.
Step up in trip was not to his liking at Downpatrick earlier this month and will look to build on his Roscommon run over 2m when beaten 3¼L. Should be a leading contender.
A €16,000 Shantou gelding. Dam, maiden on Flat and half-sister to smart hurdler Border Castle. Will need to improve on mundane debut in a Fairyhouse maiden hurdle earlier this month.
Flat-bred colt out of New Approach, picked up for minor money at the sales. Gelded following a disappointing bumper debut at Punchestown earlier this month. Best watched.
An €18,000 three-year-old, Yeats filly. Half-sister to bumper winner/fair 2m hurdle winner The Birdie Crowe. Needs to improve from disappointing debut when last seen in August in first-time tongue-tie.
Forecasts
Felix Desjy (2/7), Licklighter (5/1), Gigiplan Two Seven (10/1), Leave Your Mark (12/1), Chavi Artist (25/1), Joe The Crow (25/1), Amerijano (40/1), Good Luck Hope (50/1), The Reaping Race (50/1), Makka Pakka (66/1), Dragon Houdini (100/1), Shantou Warrior (100/1), Owl Creek Bridge (100/1), Castle Valley (100/1)
The Gordon Elliott-trained FELIX DESJY should get favourite backers off to a winning start here on hurdling debut. The five-year-old was thought highly enough of to take his chance in the Cheltenham and Punchestown bumpers and can take the opener from likely dangers, the consistent Licklighter, the J P McManus-owned, Leave Your Mark and the Martin Brassil-trained Gigiplan Two Seven.
