Gained a first win over fences at Newton Abbot in July and ran well on return at Warwick last month. Forced to concede weight to some useful sorts but jumps well and he placed over 3m1f here last year.
Only narrowly denied in the Stayers' Hurdle here last year and he's very useful over hurdles. Made a winning start to life over fences at Uttoxeter earlier in the month, won't mind the ground and will appreciate this step up in trip.
Seemingly a little unlucky to still be a maiden over the larger obstacles. His better efforts tend to come when there's plenty of cut underfoot and this wouldn't appear to be an easy race to break a duck.
Won a maiden hurdle at Bangor and ran okay on his next couple of starts but seemingly lost his way towards the end of last season. Makes chase debut in a first-time tongue-tie and the market may reveal expectations.
Produced a much improved effort on third chase start at Worcester last time when bolting up by 10L. Ran well over hurdles here on this day last year and while likely to be vulnerable for win purposes, shouldn't be far away.
Forecasts
Lil Rockerfeller (5/6), Shannon Bridge (7/2), Treackle Tart (6/1), Pickamix (10/1), Arctic Gold (14/1)
LIL ROCKERFELLER was much the best of these hurdles and he was impressive when making a winning start over fences last time. With the step up in trip sure, to suit, he's expected to be hard to beat here. Treackle Tart won well last time and remains capable of better while Pickamix is a consistent performer capable of running well.
