Pushed along before halfway on his first couple of career starts when well held at the Curragh and Navan. Well beaten on stable debut on the AW at Dundalk earlier this month. Tough ask.
Already gelded son of Camacho out of a Diktat mare. Half brother to genuine types Humidor, Arctic Feeling and John Quinn's well-travelled Signor Cabello. Market likely to reveal expectations.
Will have disappointed connections in a number of gloomy efforts since returning to the track in August. Lame on last run and fitness taken on trust.
Nothing of note in three dismal career displays since August and unlikely to be involved at the finish here.
The running well in defeat excuse may be looking over-used right now but the drop back to 1m may suit and the colt appears to be the main choice in this contest.
Unraced gelded son of Carlotamix out of an Oasis Dream mare. Best watched on debut in first-time tongue-tie.
Fourth of 14 beaten 1¾L in a Naas handicap last month. Chances if dismissing his last couple of starts over 1m2f and on the AW at Dundalk.
Well down the field and never a factor in a Listowel maiden on debut last month on Heavy ground. Unlikely to play a part in the finish.
Has failed to build on a promising second of 11 beaten 2L in a Naas maiden in July. Best watched in the market with a major step up in trip.
Filly by Vale Of York out of an Oratorio gelding. Yard not renowned for their young campaigners and possibly best avoided here on debut.
Plenty to like about her debut at Dundalk on the AW when last seen in August over 7f finishing 1¾L adrift of the winner. Market likely to be the best guide on turf introduction.
Didn't improve from first to second run at Cork last month and now boasts first-time cheekpieces. Open to improvement dropping in trip.
Filly by Sea The Stars out of a Pivotal mare. Failed to quicken over 2f out on debut at Tipperary when last seen in August, finishing well down the field. Others preferred.
Beaten favourite on fourth career start at Navan last month in a 1m maiden when seemingly emptying out when travelling well for the majority of the race. Improvement needed.
Yet to show anything in three career starts to date and yet to start at less than 50/1. Unlikely to be troubling the judge in this company.
Forecasts
Madrid (11/8), Swiss Cottage (11/2), Freetown (6/1), Madame Delavanti (7/1), Gallitea (7/1), First Things First (14/1), Country Garden (20/1), Chillala (25/1), Port Vauban (33/1), Gentility (40/1), Clazina (50/1), Caronda (100/1), Inis Cealtra (100/1), Smart Lass (100/1), Feetinthesand (100/1)
Looks to be between the two stablemates, Freetown, lame on last run and fitness taken on trust and MADRID who has been running well in defeat with the drop back in trip to suit in this company. The Willie McCreery-trained Madame Delavanti and Swiss Cottage from the Joseph Murphy yard are capable of hitting the frame while Gallitea, in first-time cheekpieces can go well at a price.
- Madrid
- Madame Delavanti
- Swiss Cottage
