Runs off same mark as when landing a C&D event in January, and showed he was on the way back with a keeping-on fifth of 14 at Kempton last time. Top rider booked, and big run anticipated.
Not progressed since winning on Leicester debut as a juvenile, and readily held on both starts in handicaps, displaying a high head carriage at Newmarket last time.
Hit with an 8lb rise for an easy win over C&D last month, and might have defied it but for an ill-judged ride from a 7lb claimer at Newcastle last time. Winning rider back in the saddle now, and can make amends.
Below best since joining current yard from Mick Easterby, but has fallen in the weights, and forgiven latest run ridden aggressively over a trip he barely stays. Market useful.
Perfectly respectable AW strike-rate (6-39), and likely to strip fitter for the run at Kempton last time, having been off since February. Can be reluctant at the start, though, and not one for maximum faith.
Won at Wolverhampton (7f) in July, and good second off today's mark there next time, but not been at his very best in subsequent starts, and cheekpieces reached for now.
Still a maiden and is starting to become expensive to follow. Ran poorly at Beverley last time, and visor quickly reached for.
Just a solitary win in an AW maiden to his name but has been placed frequently. Ran creditably over 6f at Pontefract last time, but stamina for this trip is still in doubt.
Showed ability in a trio of qualifying runs, but allotted a stiff mark as a result, and well beaten on handicap debut at Nottingham recently.
Well held on first three runs this year, but back to winning ways at Kempton last time from much-reduced mark. Plenty went his way there, and remains to be seen if he can repeat the form up in class.
Forecasts
Plentyinthetanksir (7/4), Espresso Freddo (3/1), Gentlemen (7/1), Real Estate (8/1), City Guest (10/1), Full Intention (12/1), Robero (14/1), Global Melody (16/1), Gibeno (33/1), Orsera (33/1)
PLENTYINTHETANKSIR is climbing the weights, but might well have won if he'd been asked for his effort sooner at Newcastle last time having scored over C&D prior to that. He's clearly thriving, and will take all the beating with Jamie Spencer back on board. Espresso Freddo has dropped to his last winning mark, and looks the best forecast option, although Robero is capable of going well at a price assuming he can set sensible fractions.
- Plentyinthetanksir
- Espresso Freddo
