Beaten in excess of 6L when finishing fifth of 14 to The Groovy Hoovy at Southwell (2m4f+, good) recently, which was his best effort for Jonjo O'Neill; chance.
Pace-setting veteran who has served his trainer Donald, and daughter Abbie incredibly well in recent years; handicap mark easing, just not quickly enough.
Bought as a lightly raced type for £15,000 from Paul Nicholls in the spring; half-brother to the Gold Cup winner Native River; nearest at the finish when beaten in excess of 20L by Sonic at Sedgefield (2m4f novices) latest; handicap debut.
Seven-race rules maiden; no obvious improvement for wind surgery, and finished a tailed off seventh of eight at Bangor (2m7f, good) a fortnight ago; drop in trip should suit.
Sold cheaply out of the Harry Fry yard in July 2017 (£1,500), and very few signs which would offer encouragement for this trainer so far; handicap debut.
66/1 when finishing in the ruck behind Iolani at Sedgefield (2m1f) recently; 4lb lower now with his future more likely over hurdles than fences (pulled up both starts); not shown enough for the application of a visor to tempt.
Had plenty of time between his races, but has shown precious little promise so far, so incredibly difficult to build any form of constructive argument for; handicap debut.
Off the mark at the 17th attempt on quick ground at Kelso (2m2f) in September, beating Green Zone by 3L; various hurdle omissions possibly helped on that occasion, but disappointing since over 2m5f.
Hit and miss performer; three-time hurdles winner (2m1f-2m5f); probably shaped a little better than the bare form at Hexham latest (2m4f), and the hood is now newly applied to cheekpieces.
Consistently disappointing since leaving Nicky Henderson for £20,000 in May 2017, with any faint hopes of a revival pinned solely upon recent wind surgery; thoroughly unappealing.

Theatre Act (5/2), Scottshill (4/1), One Night In Milan (5/1), Danceintothelight (5/1), Slaney Craiglegacy (6/1), Love At Dawn (6/1), My Escapade (12/1), New List (16/1), Dubh Des Champs (22/1), Clondaw Banker (22/1), Super Charge (25/1), Herecomesnelson (33/1), Painters Lad (50/1)
The weaker of the two divisions on paper, and not the type of race in which you'd be forming an orderly queue to invest. However, there'll be a winner with the top-weight Scottshill on the shortlist for Jonjo O'Neill (operates a 17% strike-rate at this track since 1988). The three-time hurdle winner Theatre Act is another to consider in the newly applied hood, but a sporting and speculative selection is the Keith Dalgleish-trained ONE NIGHT IN MILAN, who could possibly make his presence felt on handicap debut.
- One Night In Milan
- Scottshill
- Theatre Act
