Age: 8|  Weight: 11-12| J: R T Dunne| T: M Roberts| OR:  108

Winner at Bangor in the summer when trained by Fergal O'Brien. Has to cope with a 6lb higher mark on his first outing for this stable and was behind Heurtevent at Worcester last month.

Le Precieux14
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-11| J: Joshua Moore| T: G & J Moore| OR:  107

Without a win in this country since coming over from France and has generally been well held over hurdles and fences. Fair effort on the Flat at Kempton last time, however, and is young enough to get back on track.
3
Horse silk
New Millennium102
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-11| J: R Johnson| T: P Hobbs & J White| OR:  107
5/4
Placed on his last three starts during the summer at around this sort of mark. Not obviously well treated and has yet to get off the mark over obstacles.
4

Ortenziat21
Age: 4|  Weight: 11-4| J: J J Burke| T: C E Longsdon| OR:  109
10/3
Successful at the first time of asking over fences at Bangor earlier this month. Showed a good attitude that day, but 7lb rise leaves her with plenty more to do.
5

Heurteventp29
Age: 9|  Weight: 10-6| J: J E Moore| T: A W Carroll| OR:  88
10/1
Had King Muro behind when scoring at Worcester last month. Lumbered with a 5lb rise at Warwick last time, but was not far behind the winner and has bright prospects under his 7lb claimer.

Forecasts

New Millennium (5/4), Le Precieux (3/1), Ortenzia (10/3), King Muro (10/1), Heurtevent (10/1)

Verdict

Le Precieux is young enough to stage a revival over obstacles and Ortenzia has scope for improvement after winning her only race over fences. However, the vote goes to HEURTEVENT, who has been in fine form on his last two starts and has solid claims under his 7lb claimer. King Muro is not out of it under top weight, but New Millennium looks to have something to find for his successful connections.
  1. Heurtevent
  2. Ortenzia
  3. King Muro
