Good effort in finishing runner-up in a C&D novices handicap chase on chasing debut a month ago. Improvement likely and capable of playing a leading role.

Signs of a possible return to form when finishing 21L eighth over 2m4f at Warwick (good) last time out. Sole previous victory came off a 15lb higher mark.

Form: PP3-688

Mr Mulliner^b¹⁶

Age: 9| Weight: 10-0| J: P J Brennan| T: P Henderson| OR: 68| D

5/1

Good 20L second in a 3m2f handicap hurdle at Fontwell (good) at the end of August. Well held over the same C&D subsequently and interesting to see how he fares dropping in distance and racing from out of the handicap on his return to chasing.

Forecasts

King Cnut (5/4), Remember Forever (4/1), Baily Sunset (5/1), Mr Mulliner (5/1), Britanio Bello (8/1), Keppel Isle (25/1)

The youngest horse in the field KING CNUT is taken to get off the mark at the second time of asking over fences by taking this competitive handicap chase. The selection placed on his debut in this sphere and can get the better of Mr Mulliner who returns to fences following a spell over hurdles. Third place can go to Remember Forever who was placed over C&D earlier this year.
