From a yard that are already firing on the bumper front so far this season (4/13) and are always respected in this sphere. Related to a winner on the Flat; half-brother to a fairly useful hurdler in Hot Motive; respected and should be well fancied.
Hooded for his debut and makes the long trip down from Scotland for his debut with the yard seeking their first bumper winner of the season. Half-brother to three winners on the Flat at up to 1m (all on the AW); worthy of respect in the market.
Yard have plenty of bumper runners (1/12 this season) and this one is one of the few with experience having made his debut at Huntingdon earlier this month. Beaten a total of 28L into 4th he looks in need of a stiffer test.
Dam (Roses) was unbeaten in bumpers (4/4) and appeared suited by good ground (never ran over hurdles). A half-brother to a 2m winner in Rosette he worth a second glance in the betting if he takes after his dam.
Rare bumper runner for predominantly Flat yard (0/5 in bumpers last five years) who is a half-sister to three winners on the Flat in Italy. Makes her debut here with cheekpieces on which strikes a note of warning.
One of two runners in the race for the trainer and this Mount Nelson filly is a sister to bumper winner Mountain Path and a half-sister to two other winners including bumper winner Sherry. She could take a hand if living up to her pedigree.
Already had some racing experience having made her debut in a French bumper (finished 4th - left behind in the final furlong). Half-sister to four bumper/jumps winners and just the second bumper runner of the season from this yard.
This one is the trainer's only runner in this sphere in the past five years and she looked as though she failed to stay over this trip on debut. Possible that the run at Huntingdon may have brought her on but questions to answer.
Intriguing runner from a mainly Flat-based German trainer who has won some good class races on the Flat. A half-sister to a French 12f winner out of a staying mare she won't lack for stamina and has to be noted in the market on debut.
Forecasts
Arkyn (13/8), Surin (3/1), Felicidad (9/2), Stormin Norman (15/2), Foxey (14/1), Conchita (16/1), Convivial (16/1), Roue De Charrette (20/1), Lord Roccoco (33/1)
A race where there is very little to go on in form terms with Arkyn and Surin from powerful yards looking to be the two that will be towards the head of the market and neither would be a surprise winner. Felicidad is from another yard that is capable in this discipline and has some experience already and should also be respected. It’s the Micky Hammond duo that are of particular interest though with Stormin Norman one to note in the market given his dam (Roses) was unbeaten in bumpers. The most interesting of the Hammond duo is CONVIVIAL who is well bred for this job and represents a little value in a race where clues are at a premium.
- Convivial
- Arkyn
- Surin
