Improved on two bumper efforts to score on her hurdles debut at Ffos Las over 2m when left clear at the last. Now tried over 4f further (likely to appreciate the trip) and more to come with the trainer in form (won with last three runners).
Point-to point winner who was bought for £10,000 earlier in the year although she fell on her last outing in that sphere. Looks to have enough on her plate here making her Rules debut.

Hurdles debutante who has some useful jumping relations and has scored in the point-to point field (on debut). Has shown some ability in three bumper starts (made running each time) and ought to be capable of running well over hurdles.

Better form over hurdles since coming to GB and this yard than she showed in bumpers in Ireland and progressed from her hurdles debut last time out over C&D. Looks as though she will stay further and another sound run likely.

Very lightly-raced mare who was strong in the betting on her bumper debut and won impressively by 11L on this track. Returned off a 9-month break in Listed class when next seen in bumpers (proved disappointing); could bounce back on hurdles debut.

Makes her hurdles/stable debut after showing some improvement in her last two races in bumpers (better ground may well have helped) but still has plenty to find with the principals. Handicaps likely to be needed before being of interest.

Bumper winner when made 6/4 favourite on debut (good ground) but never managed to follow-up that victory in three further bumpers starts (all on worse ground). Made only a modest impression on hurdles debut here over 2m; lacks scope.

Already beaten in handicaps (has a mark of 105) she steps back to novice company with plenty to prove. Tried over this sort of trip once before she will need to show improvement to take a hand in this.

Worth keeping an eye on in the market given her debut where despite being behind Rococo Style she shaped well despite not being knocked around. She now tries this longer trip and may progress again and looks worth keeping an eye on.

Forecasts

Lily Of Leysbourne (5/4), Papagana (11/4), Outofthisworld (7/2), L'chamise (11/1), Tickerty Boo (14/1), Rococo Style (25/1), Wasdell (66/1), Quasha (80/1), Good Auld Times (80/1)

Verdict

An interesting race of its type and with the Oliver Sherwood barn going well at the moment PAPAGANA may be able to follow up her Ffos Las victory despite having to give weight to the entire field with some potentially useful types lurking. Among those would be Outofthisworld a bumper winner here on her debut who was highly tried subsequently and Lily Of Leysbourne who appears an improved performer over hurdles. L’Chamise is capable of running well on her hurdles debut with Wasdell one who needs watching for the future.
  1. Papagana
  2. Outofthisworld
  3. L'chamise
