Improved plenty over fences last year before a disappointing effort in the Grand National (fell at sixth fence). Unproven on ground this quick though and this may be a pipe opener for another chase campaign.
Winning point to pointer. Shaped well on debut for this yard in a bumper at Chepstow and only found one too good on hurdles debut at Perth. Quite possible that wasn't the strongest race but still early days and has more to come.
A winner on the Flat from an official rating of 51 and hard to imagine him making his presence felt against these two rivals on hurdles debut.
Forecasts
Kapgarry (1/1), I Just Know (1/1), Leodis (20/1)
KAPGARRY is an exciting prospect and he's narrowly preferred to get the better of I Just Know who made in to a useful chaser last season. Leodis is the only other runner in the contest and would need to improve markedly for the switch of codes to play a part in this.
