Winner for Gordon Elloitt in 2017 but form after that took a sharp nosedive and hasn't been seen out for over a year either. Debut for new yard but not much to recommend her at present.
Game winner at Plumpton on latest start but that was only a modest contest and the cheekpieces she normally wears are absent today. Upped in trip too, which asks another question, and despite coming here in good heart, others make more appeal.
Has some bits and pieces of form that give her chances here but in truth isn't has progressing and has been a disappointing favourite last two starts. Has had a break and the suspicion is she's better than she's shown so far, so watch the market.
Decent looking jumps pedigree (half-sister to the useful Mad Brian) and seems to be slowly getting the hang of things, with this step up in trip likely to show her in a better light. In good hands and looks a likely improver here.
Has been running respectably in these Mares events for much of the summer/autumn and gained due reward in July. Now only 1lb higher than that win and with trip and ground fine, she should once again run her race.
Unlucky to bump into an improving one at Newton Abbot two starts ago but a lesser effort at Stratford last time needs more explaining away. Yet to win in 15 starts and may prefer softer ground, so a bit to prove now.
Showed some form (for Harry Fry) in bumpers but well down the field in a couple of maiden hurdles for new trainer. Tongue tie on today may help, as will going handicapping, so a better effort wouldn't be a total surprise.
Mark falling quickly after a series of moderate efforts this season, and although the trainer rarely travels this far south with his runners he is 0-7 at the track, so it's not as big a clue as might be the case. Plenty to find here.
Had some reasonable bumper efforts to her name but there were more letters than numbers in her form until turning it around at Warwick last time, beaten a length at 100-1. Ran from well out of the handicap there, so still looks nicely treated today.
Forecasts
Versifier (4/1), Milan Of Crystal (4/1), Pottlereaghexpress (9/2), Hermosa Vaquera (9/2), All Hands On Deck (8/1), The Crazed Moon (8/1), Celer Et Audax (9/1), Lapalala (16/1), Pahaska (40/1)
CELER ET AUDAX seemed to cause a bit of a surprise with her close fourth at Warwick but she may just be a slow learner and now she's got the hang of things, could easily go on from that and score here. She had shown bits of ability in bumpers and perhaps it wasn't the fluke it looks on paper. Pottlereaghexpress looks a probable improver and can get in the shake up, and money for The Crazed Moon needs noting. Hermosa Vaquera faces a different task here but is clearly in good heart.
