One of five in the race for leading trainer who had the winner in 2016 with Tiger Roll. Regressive type of late but has the class to hit the frame on stable debut and was second in this contest 12-months ago.
Gallant C&D winner of this race in 2012 when in the hands of the legendary Dessie Hughes. Heroic 10th of 38 when last seen in the Grand National behind Tiger Roll.
Trainer had the winner of this race two years ago with Tiger Roll and prepares five in this contest. Won a competitive Kilbeggan contest in July off a 10lb lower mark which may be enough to stop him here. Ninth of 16 in this 12-months ago.
Busy summer has seen him running well at Kilbeggan behind Rogue Angel before winning at the same track last month off a 5lb lower mark. Can go well at a price.
Course winner that has also won over the trip. A little out of sorts of late and plenty needed to play a role here.
Improving sort who had been running well in defeat towards the end of last season. Last seen over hurdles last month and could be interesting in first-time blinkers.
Winner of the Midlands national at Kilbeggan in July before being disqualified. Didn't run any sort of race at Listowel latest but should not be easily discounted. Tiger Roll won this race for the trainer in 2016 who saddles five in this contest.
In fine form of late but the last 14 winners of this contest were age between six and eight, which could prove difficult for this veteran towards the end of proceedings.
Exciting prospect who is improving with every run and remains open to plenty of improvement. Leading trainer has five in the race and saddled Tiger Roll to land this race two years ago.
Winner of one of his nine chase starts and rated 154 following a win at Cheltenham six years ago. Not seen for over three years which must be a concern. Top handler has five in the contest and had Tiger Roll win this in 2016.
Ran the gallant Act In Time to ½L on first start for new yard at Killarney before winning a Listowel handicap chase last month over 2m4f. Raised 9lb for that win and could find one or two better handicapped.
Course winner who has generally been well held in handicap and novice chases since the turn of the year. Plenty more needed in this company.
Still in touch when falling two out in a competitive handicap chase at the Galway festival but is liable to find a couple stronger here.
Record over fences is 6-41, so well capable of popping up now racing 8lb lower than last winning mark but this is a tough ask in this company when not getting any younger.
Course winner but has been well down the field in a couple of disappointing efforts since returning to action in June. Will need to raise overall performance to land a blow.
Solid and consistent course winner that has also won over this trip but is left with plenty to prove in this company.

Black Scorpion (7/2), Alpha Des Obeaux (5/1), Rogue Angel (11/2), Our Father (8/1), Its All Guesswork (8/1), Blast Of Koeman (10/1), Spider Web (12/1), Timiyan (12/1), Without Limites (12/1), Full Cry (25/1), Riviera Sun (25/1), Raz De Maree (25/1), Kilcarry Bridge (25/1), Steel Wave (25/1), Kylecrue (33/1), Supreme Vinnie (33/1), Na Trachtalai Abu (40/1)
No getting away from the strong trend that the last 14 winners of this contest have been age between six and eight, ranging from the likes of Tiger Roll in 2016, age six to Muirhead and last years winner, Total Recall as an eight-year-old. While the ten-year-old, Rogue Angel, well beaten in this 12-months ago is still capable of hitting the frame along with the veteran Kylecrue they may be outpaced by the Gordon Elliott pair Timiyan and It's All Guesswork, who has hit the frame in his last four chase starts. Last time out winner Black Scorpion and potentially exciting, Blast Of Koeman can grab a place here behind the Henry De Bromhead-trained FULL CRY.
