Well bred Kalansis gelding who is closely related to a bumper winner and has been given plenty of time to mature. Yard having a quieter time of things but still looks worthy of serious consideration.

€50,000 Stowaway gelding who looked worth the price when a very promising third on his only start to date in a Wincanton bumper in April. Should be very much on the premises.

Purchased for £40,000 after winning 3m point-to-point in January and ran well when runner-up at Towcester on Rules debut in May. Race working out fairly well so won't be far away.

€48,000 buy as unraced three-year-old. He is by Getaway out of an unraced half-sister tot he Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Bobs Worth so very much looks the part on paper as he makes his racecourse debut. Second in only point-to-point start.

Third on sole start in Punchstown bumper in April. Bought for £40,000 and makes British debut for new connections. Interesting to see if there is market support for him.
€80,000 purchase last year and is half-brother to the decent hurdler/chaser Khruzlinin. Represents top yard but may well improve for this first racecourse outing unless market indicates he's ready to go first time out.
Oscar gelding who created a good impression when landing his only point-to-point and was sold soon after for a hefty £95,000. Makes debut under Rules and would be no surprise to see him go well.

Very well bred newcomer who is a half-brother to the smart Grade 1 winner Waiting Patiently. Cost €88,000 last year and represents top yard well capable of getting one ready first time out. Looks an interesting candidate.

Gelded son of Mahler , out of a dam who won over hurdles. Of some concern that he has had a wind operation prior to his racecourse debut so others make more appeal on paper.

€21,000 Court Cave gelding who won minor point-to-point event on only start in that sphere. A relatively unknown quantity but will probably find this a tough task unless betting suggests otherwise.
Runner-up on second and final start in point-to-point in May this year and bought for £52,000 by new connecitons a fortnight later. Top team do well in this sphere and looks stable first string.

Won a two mile point-to-point in February but ran very poorly on only bumper start at Exeter in April. Has joined powerful yard but appears to have plenty to find if she's going to figure. First start back following wind surgery.

Verdict

This promsies to be a decent race with some well bred types, including a number of fascinating newcomers, among them BEAUFORT WEST whose dam is a half-sister to Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Bob's Worth. Alrightjack arguably did best of those with previous experience when third at Wincanton on debut, although Fontley House shaped well at Punchestown on his debut too, but it would come as no surprise to see such as Allonock, Lisnagar Oscar, Ask Dillon and Precious Bounty run well. Paul Nicholls' Mcfabulous is another very well bred debutant who could pose a danger to all.
  1. Beaufort West
  2. Alrightjack
  3. Mcfabulous
