Rosie McQueen^p⁶⁹

Age: 6| Weight: 11-12| J: R P McLernon| T: J & A O'Neill| OR: 110| D

9/2

Second attempt over fences when an 11-lengths second of 12 at Market Rasen in August. Runs off the same mark and handles cut in the ground.

Form: F42-652

The Wicket Chicken^p⁴⁴

Age: 6| Weight: 11-12| J: N D Fehily| T: N P Mulholland| OR: 110| D

11/4

Beaten a long way on last two starts over fences and handicapper is starting to relent. Has a bit to prove for the time being.

Form: 6-52234

Sheneededtherun^t¹⁶¹

Age: 8| Weight: 11-11| J: J Kington| T: M Scudamore| OR: 109| D

14/1

On the upgrade at end of last season, but was not at her best when last seen at Hexham in May. Has been given a break, handles cut and handicap mark is fair.

Form: P1213-9

Still Believing^p1¹⁵

Age: 10| Weight: 11-9| J: Adam Wedge| T: Evan Williams| OR: 107| D

7/1

Not at her best in three runs this season and may be finding age catching up with her. Connections try cheekpieces in a bid to turn the tide.

Form: P68-567

Boston Heather^t¹⁵

Age: 10| Weight: 11-6| J: Harry Skelton| T: D Skelton| OR: 104

7/2

Winning start over hurdles for this yard, but was well beaten on her chase debut. Needs to find more and softer ground is a concern.

Form: P3-5123

Troubled Soul³²

Age: 9| Weight: 11-4| J: P J Brennan| T: F O'Brien| OR: 102

13/2

No wins in four starts over fences, the last of which was in December, 2016. Has dropped to a lenient mark and would be of interest if strong in the betting.

Form: 2P3/773

Micras^b¹⁵

Age: 7| Weight: 11-2| J: Stan Sheppard⁽³⁾| T: M Sheppard| OR: 100

20/1

Irish import who was having her first run for this stable when well beaten at Worcester last month. Plenty to prove off 3lb lower.

Form: 7853/3-5

Chill In The Wood³³

Age: 9| Weight: 11-2| J: M D Grant| T: D J S Ffrench Davis| OR: 100| D

9/1

Good efforts on last two starts over fences, but handicapper has put her up a total of 8lb. Softening ground is a worry.

Form: U1-2823

Ballydarsi^p⁶

Age: 8| Weight: 10-0| J: Hugh Nugent⁽⁷⁾| T: M Sheppard| OR: 80| D

33/1

Stable companion of Micras and is another Irish import who needs to step up on her first run for the yard at Uttoxeter. Runs from 4lb out of the handicap.

Form: 54U0-3P

Forecasts

The Wicket Chicken (11/4), Boston Heather (7/2), Rosie McQueen (9/2), Troubled Soul (13/2), Still Believing (7/1), Chill In The Wood (9/1), Sheneededtherun (14/1), Micras (20/1), Ballydarsi (33/1)

Chill In The Wood would have been on the short list had it not been for the forecast rain, so the ones to concentrate on are Rosie McQueen, Troubled Soul and SHENEEDEDTHERUN. In the hope that she does not live up to her name after a break, the latter's fair mark and ability to handle rain-softened ground earns her the vote.
