Really good form on chase debut but dropped away tamely next time when stepping up to this trip. Has been rested since and returns with stable 3-8 in last two weeks. Bred to stay this far and to be suited by a sound surface.

Would have been the pick of these on his best hurdling performances. Two runs on the comeback trail have not shown he retains that ability nor that he has taken to chasing.

Has won twice since blinkers have been fitted. Suited to forcing tactics and a sound surface and every chance he will show more than he did on chase debut.

Useful staying hurdler who was placed in a point-to-point. Looks dangerous in receipt of her allowance, but would not want the ground to get any faster for chase debut.

Forecasts

Dandy Dan (11/8), Molly Childers (6/4), Lord Topper (4/1), Fair Exchange (13/2), Eshtiaal (8/1)

Verdict

Eshtiaal is an enigma as he has the best hurdling form and represents a top yard. There is nothing in his two comeback runs to indicate he is the horse he was nor that he has taken to chasing, so this should be fought out between Molly Childers and DANDY MAN. The former is a decent hurdler who is ideally suited to a bit of give, but the selection is proven over fences and is perfectly at home if conditions should turn any quicker.
  1. Dandy Dan
  2. Molly Childers
  3. Lord Topper
