Struggled in four starts for Jonathan Portman including over much further on first run in a handicap. First-time cheekpieces added but hard to make a case for on stable debut.

Yet to get in the money in 13 starts and well beaten the last twice. Down a further 3lb but easy to overlook on first run since May.

Had been shaping with promise before disappointing at Chelmsford. Down a further 3lb and perhaps a return to this C&D will revitalise her.

Eight-race maiden who had been shaping with promise at Chepstow before a poor run there and at this track. Needs to lift to be involved.

Maiden after 16 starts and again suited by the 7f here with a solid fourth on stable debut. Previous two tries over this C&D were unconvincing and stamina remains an issue over this trip.

9/4
10-race maiden who showed improvement for current stable on first run since leaving Ireland and while a bit below that at Beverley this extra furlong should suit. Worth a try on this surface.

Showed nothing in two starts in France and in first two for new stable, however improved out of all recognition at Bath. Could progress again and should go close.

Produced a promising debut when with Karl Burke but has been well below that level in eight starts since. First run since May and remains easy to oppose.

11-race maiden who is yet to get into the money and hasn't shaped as though he liked this surface in two previous tries here. Best watched again.

Much improved performance when trying to make all over a furlong shorter at this track and likely there's more to come now. Extra furlong is a question but should be involved in a weak contest.

Had raced with promise in previous two starts so disappointing she was so well beaten last time. Leading perhaps didn't suit and possibilities if bouncing back

Improved effort when a staying on fourth at this track and this extra furlong only likely to suit. Stable a bit quiet at present but rates an obvious contender.

Forecasts

Don't Do It (9/4), First Call (4/1), Liberisque (13/2), Elusive Show (8/1), Imperial Act (8/1), Raven's Raft (9/1), Ainne (14/1), Hidden Dream (20/1), Hollywood Dream (20/1), Jazz Magic (20/1), Lone Voice (20/1), Kevlar (33/1), Skito Soldier (40/1)

Verdict

Ainne and Hidden Dream both need to put disappointing runs behind them but have clear chances on previous form. The shorter trip possibly didn't suit Don't Do It and he's still open to progress for his new trainer. FIRST CALL represents a stable who are very adept at improving imports from other yards and after a miles better latest run could be one to follow in a weak race. Liberisque has to prove herself at this trip but should make a bold bid from the front.
